True to power ratings!
Purchased these for the 12x50 power and if course the price. Tasco has always been a good brand for me. Looked at other binos from other manufactures, that I keep seeing being resold on Mercari, etc. And decided to go with a trusted name. Well got them today and compared them to a pair of WWII binos that were my fathers that he brought home from war. They are 7x50 power. They say "Made in occupied Japan". They are very good quality and are my basis for checking other binos against . The Tascos are noticibly more powerful but the clarity is as good as the WWII binos! Im extremely happy with this purchase! I am going on a 1 year RV trip across this great country of ours and will you these for just everyday checking out the boondocking areas. didn't want to spend big bucks for Nikons, etc. But I bet these Tascos are just as clear! Thanks Amazon for your great service!!

Just OK
Price - inexpensive. Construction - good. Optics - fair, magnified well but image not very crisp. You get what you pay for.

Very good for the price
I have a 40yr old pair of Tasco 10x50, heavy and it's been dropped a few times, image not very clear.I just bought this new Tasco 12x50, light weight compared to the old one, clear view.I am very pleased with this pair of binoculars for what they cost.I bought a pair of Ronhan 20x50, they turned out to be about 7x50 instead.

My second pair of Tascos
My first pair was free, a gift for my time at work. I used them mainly for ball games and they worked fine. Unfortunately, after 15 years and one slip out of my hand, they were done.So I found a second pair online. Different model, but still fine. No issues. Not high end in terms of price, and I'm sure it's missing some bells and whistles that some of the expensive ones have, but it has what I need -- mainly it makes objects look much closer, which I believe is the purpose.Save some money and pick these ones up. And, reading some of the other reviews on similar-priced binoculars, save some hassle and angst and pick these up.

4 Stars Tasco 170125
When I began shopping at Amazon many years ago I read a statement from Amazon where you declared that youstand by the quality of every item that leaves your establishment. I had great confidence. Very many years ago a friendof mine purchased a Tasco 8x40 for me in Puerto Rico. Up to today the thing is sturdy like Gibraltar. I resolved to purchaseno other brand. However, I happily received the Tasco 170125 within the expected time. Now we begin. When I started touse it I noticed the two eyepieces were snagging on the barrels as I focussed in and out (near or far). I examined the thing. The arms linking the eyepieces to the center focussing were not held sturdy or rigid resulting in the snagging on the barrelsas the eyepieces were moved in and out. A bushing or washer should have been fitted with the arms to align them with thebarrels. I brought my gift of ingenuity into play. Now the 170125 is functioning as it should. The optics are great. But that littlesnag prevents me from giving five stars.

Buena calidad-precio
Es una compra totalmente recomendada, buena calidad-precio, sino te quieres gastar mucho, estos son tus prismaticos, los compre para un regalo, son muy utilices, de tamaño yo diría que son medianos.

Heavy, not the best for birding, but clear
A simple pair of binoculars. They are on the heavy side, but good nonetheless.
