Seduction (The Hunted Series Book 5)

We are on an emotional rollercoaster in this book with Penny and James Hunter. Having James almost come close to dying Penny really does not want to go any times without seeing her husband. I should not be saying this but I am glad Isabella cannot longer hurt them but there is so much pain and emotional scars left over from what she did. Penny has asked her husband if they can just focus on themselves for the next few months actually, she said five months of just loving on each other. We get to see Rob propose to Daphne in a crazy parrot restaurant, the symbolism is something to do with how they met. Even though this story was a lot about Robert, James' brother and Daphne his girlfriend it still was kind of strange and quirky and made me laugh and cry and feel sad and of course I laughed so hard that I had to put my hands over my mouth to be quiet to not wake up my husband. I would have loved to have more of James and Penny, but I guess that is why we have more books in this series. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. This was a good read.

Ivy Smoak is always funny. Her books are loaded with laughter, love and as the title suggests seduction! I love grabbing her books bc I know that I'm in for a read! James and Penny just keep getting better and their love is epic!

Okay so this story started out kind of slow honestly after the last couple books I wasn’t sure how ivy was going to top that, but she definitely made a comeback with this one. It did irritate me her way of referencing the past books or re explaining things you should already know. But I am reading it after they are all published right in a row so maybe publishing time deference it makes sense. I was very pleased at the second half of the book though it definitely grew into something I wasn’t expecting at first out of this series. I am very much still curious as to what’s coming next in this series as ivy has a way with words and so far this book didn’t quite live up but definitely has wasn’t bad!

Series review:Wonderful series however there are 2 ways to read the series, by series or chronological. According to the website you should read it by series first and then the second time you read it the author has a chronological reading order. After reading this series there are lots of time jumps that are not well explained and theres new characters that have relationships and a lot of background happens without any explanation in this series because the author explains it (im assuming) in another series. I would suggest to just read it in the chronological order.Overall the characters are interesting and the plot was very interesting but I think it would have been better to read it chronologically to understand more of the nuance.

This was okay. It's really about Rob and Daphne, not James and Penny. Bummed that it took from their story. The way it was written seemed we went back in time...Penny's thoughts etc seemed very teenager and James much younger...hence backwards. Their emotional intelligence def did not match the books previous to this. We all love James and Penny but this book is take it or leave it.

This is the 5th book in The Hunted series and by far the steamiest!We are at the point that Penny and James are married and expecting their first baby. Penny and James are just trying to recover from all that has happened in their lives. Penny wants the next few months of her pregnancy to be focused on her and James. They decide the best way to do that is to seduce each other. This leads to some funny, awkward and steamy bits in this book.We get to see Rob propose to Daphne in a parrot paradise(snickers) and the chaos to be ready within two weeks starts with a screeching Justin! Oh it was good to see him back.We also finally get introduced to Tanner and Nigel for the first time in their lives.This was a perfect soother that I needed! But I always more! I love this world that Ivy has created with all the interconnecting characters from all her books. Somehow, someway there is a connection and I love finding the little teaser hints that she leaves for us.

If you’re like me- you haven’t been able to stop reading, from the moment you picked up book one. I’m now on book 6 & have ordered 7 & 8!Seduction was of course great, but not as intense as the previous one. I was never on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next! This one was aLittle bit more predictable. But I did love it. Good read. And sequentially, a must read.

Enjoyed reading book #5 just as much as the others! Can’t wait to see what’s coming up for them in the next book!

Absolutely loved this one. I loved seeing all the characters we've come to love in this story and their interactions with one another. This book is sure to tug on your heart strings in a good way and make you laugh!

Read this series after reading Empire High. These books are more mature, more detailed and overall I enjoyed them so much more! Penny is such a loveable character and James is the possessive, hard to love character. Adore the story line between them. No spoilers but the twists were much harder to guess.I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a steamy romance with plenty of depth.

Warning: this review contains spoilers (seduction and Empire High Series).Ivy Smoak succeeded again in creating a masterpiece with sooo many emotions. While reading I felt so happy for James & Penny as well as Rob & Daphne. My heart was breaking for Matt and Justin. I am waiting so impatiently for EH6.Ranyaway ist still so much on my mind and I liked that this book was more light-hearted. Just what I neededI've also had so much fun with chapter 25.

This storyline just sucked me in and I just could not stop!
