Great book that really helps one understand music law in the digital age - much like the title says!It is easy to understand - yet detailed.A much needed guide due to all of the "newer" mediums available these days for music use.Highly recommend.

I bought this book because I needed, once and for all to see the rules in print. There is a lot of information there and updates on some of what I already know. It kind of rambles on and on in the middle but the information is there. We are in a global village and I would have loved to see information as it applies to international norms, not only USA. I do not live in the USA.Since the digital age is so dynamic a lot of this information might soon be outdated so I am looking forward to newer editions in the futureJoy

Not very well-written and a little confusing. I found more informative articles online but it took a minute to compile them. (The online research is worth the time if you REALLY want to know what you're talking about.) But, if you are in a rush and/or looking for something that simply outlines a basic overview and mentions terminology, note that this book is on par with, e.g., SOUND ADVICE and THIS BUSINESS OF MUSIC. Not as in-depth as, e.g., MUSIC MONEY & SUCCESS or the FARBER TREATISE but you may not need that much detail.

This book is a great resource for those interested in music and copyright. The explanation of copyright was very easy to understand, and I really enjoyed the clear definition and explanation of digital business models. It's the only book I've found that offers that. Music Law in the Digital Age
