Easy to assemble, solved my Odor woes, and the cat loves how big it is
I originally got the Omega Elite Row N' Clean (improved version), and it honestly was turning out to be as much of a hassle as a normal scooping box, so I just got a normal scooping box. This box is a normal scooping box, but the retractable function makes it so much better than its competitors. The odors rarely escape, and its easy to push back and clean. The box is very large which can make it a pain to scoop just based on how much scooping is involved, but the cat loves how big it is and is able to hide his excrements far more thoroughly than with the previous box, which adds to the odor control nature of the hood and filter.

So good, I bought a second one
This is a very good large litter box. It has a high back and with the hood, it keeps my cats from making a huge mess. The retractable lid is very helpful to make it easier to clean out the box and there is still plenty of space for my to crawl in and out of the box. I have one male orange tabby cat that is pretty big and he fits in the box just fine. I ended buying a second one of these because the first one worked so well for us.

Almost perfect
Perfect size, quality, and concept. The only thing I don't love about it is the little door overhang or whatever you want to call it. I love how it stops my cat from coming full speed in and out, and I love the idea of moving it up so you can clean inside, but because of the shape, it is actually kind of hard to do because it rolls back into the box and just reverses what it looks like externally. It is also not really removable, so if you pop the top off to refill the litter or dump out the old litter, you do have to deal with it. Overall still a fan of this purchaseOh, I forgot, it has this little filter on the back-top, yeah, that didn't last a day even being taped down, maybe needs a redesign where it more slides in and there are only little slats so it can't be pulled out by our furry friends

Roomy, nice looking litter box
This litter box is one of the best I've found. It's roomy and large enough for my cats to use and easily turn around in with extra space (my cats are both between 9 to 10 lbs. each but one of them is long). The box is attractive, easy to clean, and sturdy. I don't use the top or retracting cover so can't comment on that. The box is a bit pricey compared to some, but I like the box so much I bought another one for my 2nd litter box. The sides aren't super high if you have a litter kicker but the sides are higher than a lot of boxes and you can always use the lids if your cat(s) tolerate it. I hope this box sticks around because if/when I need to replace it, I want to buy the same one. I highly recommend it.

Almost good idea
Pros: Jumbo Size. Cats crawl and gently walk out, not jump out, which reduces litter tracking.Cons: The most notable feature is the retracting visor on the hood, but it ends up being the stupidest implementation of a promising idea. The visor pivots, but prevents one from being able to reach and clean the rear part of the litter pan. A better concept would be to make the visor work more like a car garage door.

Best Litter Box Ever!
These are great for my 10 pound cats. I've used covered litter boxes with clear domes for years because I have one kitty who thinks she's an avenging angel whose purpose in life is to attack kitties leaving the litter box. With the clear dome, they are forewarned of her impending attack. Also, because of their desire to escape her wrath, they all exit the litter box in a massive leap, trailing cat litter behind them. Trust me, there is no such thing as a litter that doesn't stick to paws! Anyway, this box solves both problems. She is visible through the clear part of the hood, but the cat inside the litter box has to step out on the litter trap mat instead of leaving a trail of litter up to 3 feet from the litter box. Also, if she tries to leap on them, the curved dome foils her attack. It's a win for everybody but her, and she needed to stop that behavior anyway!

Horrific. Not Even 4 Months and...REPLACED!
Bought 2 of these for a multiple cat household. Worst litter boxes I've ever owned.1) The flip visor snaps onto the litter box and are not removable. Once they're on, that's it. You can take the back part off for washing, but that's it. This thing is a PIA to wash. Hate it.2. It's shallow. They cats kick litter right out of it and all over the floor.3) It's shallow. They pee onto the back of it and it gets all over the place, leaks out the back, onto the lid and is a nightmare to clean.TRASH BOUND. Waste of money.

Big guy is using his box again!
My Cat had stopped using his litterbox after getting trapped by another brands litterbox door which was a swinging flap. I was at my wits end when I got the Petmate Retracting Litterpan. I decided to temporarily use Precious Cat Cat Attract Problem Cat Training Litter, 20 pound box rather than the Swheat I'd been using. He's a very big boy and I was afraid the box might be too small but that is not the case. He took to it and the litter right away. I think both my cats especially my little one like having a full view outside the box while doing their business in case one of them is being stalked by the other...I do have a few issues with the box, but it's been such a lifesaver that I'm happy to live with a few drawbacks like the box is difficult to use with liners, also the clips on the sides are difficult to close and open. The top lid is a little flimsy but it doesn't seem to affect its use.One last thing.. I have a smallish Bichon who thinks Cat Cookies are the best delicacy on earth... I have always had litter boxes with doors which seems to have been no obstacle for her.. For some reason she is hesitant to go fishing in this box. I think she could get in if she really wanted too but I think that lid comes down a little further than she's comfortable trying to defeat. If you have a big dog it would be a deterrent.
