Nice gun
UPDATE: Months later, the gun is still like new. I've started putting it in a cabinet with desiccants. I've also put it to some use and can now tell you firsthand: The gun is powerful enough for humane pest control. I recommend pointed high-speed pellets for that purpose.I bought this for pest control (armadillos). It is powerful and fun to shoot. Even at full power, the sound is not too loud and so there's no concern about disturbing the neighbors.I can see how people would think this is flimsy. You don't want to put too much leverage on this. When I pump the priming handle, I keep my other hand above the rear sight, so it's like I'm bringing my two hands together. This minimizes the chance of anything bending. I think the metal struts on the priming handle are probably the parts that people bend. Go through the motion smoothly and don't let your priming hand be pushed left or right - just bring it right down.As for the broken stock issues people have, I'm not sure how that is caused. I keep the gun boxed when it's not in use.The scope is perfectly usable, but I'm an iron-sights kind of guy and I do better without the scope. I wish they included a high-power light instead. This gun has a small barrel and forestock so you'll have to get creative in order to put a light on it.The only minor gripe I have is that deloading it involves firing it. This is fine for BBs, but if you buy expensive pellets, you'll want something like a piece of thick styrofoam to catch the pellet without damaging it. That way, you can head outside when you hear pest animals around, and if you don't get a shot, you can recover the ammo. Then you can reuse it.Overall, I think this is quite a good gun and I've had no problems with it.

It felt like a child's toy
Initially, taking it out of the package I was a little dissapointed. It felt like a child's toy. All plastic except for the barrel (a thin steel barrel shrouded in hard plastic and then plated with sheet metal). If you're from my generation and as a kid (late 80s to mid 90s) you remember those plastic toy guns that had some type of rotor inside to make noise when you pulled the trigger - that's what it felt like. However, after shooting it some it's clear that Crosman focused on the gun's performance at this price point. Granted, it didn't group as well as my Gamo break barrel at the same distance (10-15 yards) but we're talking by only 0.2 of an inch here. It's accuracy is very good considering the price. I was shooting groups within a quarter at that distance consistently. The power is very good as well. I shot through a makeshift pellet trap with layered magazines inside and it left a mark on the wood behind that just like my Gamo break barrel rated at 1000 fps lead. I just took my first pigeon with it from 30+ yards with iron sights! I wasn't expecting that lol. I was aiming right at his head and the bird took the hit (maybe the pellet dropped some and hit him in the neck or chest) and barrel rolled off his perch. You CAN pest control with this rifle.Cons: The crappy scope that comes with it and the plastic dovetail rail.... Seriously, I would've preferred Crosman given me better iron sights instead of that scope so that I could make micro adjustments easily. It was a pain in the ass to sight in! You make adjustments to the rear sights by unscrewing it from the barrel and moving it with your hand. There's no visual increments for you to measure your adjustments. Also, the sight tends to move as you work the screws so you have to hold it tightly in place as you screw and unscrew.I tried to mount that crappy scope on the rail and no matter how tightly you screw the darned thing, it slides up and down the rail. What's the point of having it in the package? The rail is plastic! How was that going to work?Pros: The power, good accuracy, and the price. I got this gun along with 2 tins of pellets (.22 crosman hollowpoints for my other gun $6.47 each) and low and behold I received a $10 Crosman promotional discount as I was checking out. Great! In terms of its performance, its definitely a bang for your buck especially with that $10 discount. I have to admit, I'm having a lot of fun with it despite the frustrations I was having with it initially. Crosman, if you're listening, do away with the scope please and focus more on improvements to the quality such as better iron sights or an actual metal dovetail.

Missing vital parts
Product arrived missing the entire bolt and charging handle, with spots of rust on the barrel, immediately started a return order. Looked retaped, possibly someone elses return but I didnt purchase Used. Purchased for my sons birthday, big disappointment.

When It Works, It's Fine, Though It Jammed And That Was Frustrating
Everything started out well, it is not as sturdy as I had hoped, though alright for a starter. I put a couple days and it was frustrating to handle. I set up some targets to plink and then it jammed. It took some time to get it cleared, though by then I was done. Do not expect too much or you may be highly disappointed.

Accurate and powerful
I am very surprised by the accuracy and power, especially at this price. I bought it to control the squirrels in my yard, thinking a little sting from a bb would scare them away. Instead of a little sting, this thing puts them down! I've only shot two squirrels, but the others have disappeared too. I haven't even tried a pellet yet, I couldn't imagine the damage I could do with one. I am very happy with this purchase!

Nice Airgun
The rifle was delivered on time. Other reviewers have stated that it was hard to pull the bolt back but I’ve had no trouble. The scope is nice once sited in. Make sure you have something to hold the rifle steady and tight when siting it in. Of course the rifle is made mostly of plastic for the price but it does feel solid. I wouldn’t hold the stock when pumping it up it may break. I can’t make any statements about BBs as I’ve only fired pellets from mine. I bought this rifle for varmint and snake control.
