Chalk City Sidewalk Chalk, 136 Count, Jumbo Chalk, Non-Toxic, Washable, Art Set

A lot of reviews complained about broken chalk upon arrival, so I was definitely worried. However, when I opened the box, I was relieved to find not a single piece was broken!I'm not even going to say I must have gotten better quality than the other reviewers because my toddler is in the 'throwing stage' and these definitely can crack and break. I honestly think it's probably due to how rough the carrier is with the package.As for the quality of color, they're beautiful! There's quite a few 'blue' colors in the pack and I could probably do without the black and gray color since they don't show up on our sidewalks and cement very well, but all-in-all, the other colors are vibrant. I definitely don't regret my purchase, but I will probably try another box next time for more variety in colors.

I'd say this chalk is more vibrant than the cheaper stuff. I just like having such a big number of chalk. I forgot the things we can do with it outside. I have 4 kids at home from 6-10 so it's awesome for us all.

Product arrived and it is as expected. Only negative is that five or six pieces were broken when it arrived, but for what I'm using them for it's not a big deal

I like using kids sidewalk chalk for chalk art for the neighborhood it sets down easy and a mild rain does all the clean up (not the case for expensive artist grade sidewalk chalk or pastels) - I’ve ordered multiple large sets of chalk from many vendors and this order was definitely not as vivid as advertised.It’s pretty typical packing for this, but it definitely seems to have been either a looser batch of chalk or was pretty roughly handled because there is a lot of surface transfer of colors. It’s not horrible for normal kid-use, but I was really hoping for consistency in vibrancy from order to order and this box shows that’s not the case.Also, is it too much to ask all the chalk vendors if they could sell bundles of single colors or have sets that include more yellow, black, and white?Note: black outline in my art example picture above is artist grade black pastel, not a chalk from this set.

Looking at the price of other brands, I decided to just go ahead and buy this. Honestly, bulk, I didn’t expect great quality but Figured this would last a long time for my kids rather than buying a smaller package costing more per unit. I was pleasantly surprised! The chalk is dense and does not easily break and the colors solid and bright! Not muted like a lot of chalks can be. And not a single piece was cracked or broken. First time out they withstood my not-so-gentle 5 year old and they drew on the sidewalk with much less dust left behind! I’d highly recommend them. Whenever we eventually do run out I’ll be buying them again.
