I haven't heard of the KLAVUU brand before, but I happily tried the KLAVUU UV Protection Secret Tone Up Sunscreen. I gravitate toward sunscreen with skincare properties, which means that most of my sunscreens come from Eastern or European brands, and usually double as makeup primers.I wear sunscreen EVERY DAY. It's a normal part of my skincare routine, and I put it on every morning, as one of my regular steps. I have fair skin, and my dermatologist drilled it into me years ago: it doesn't matter if I plan on going outside or plan on staying in, the sunscreen must go on every day. The end.So I have a roster of sunscreens. I choose a sunscreen to wear depending on how my day will evolve; some are better under makeup, some are physical, some are chemical, some a mixture. The KLAAVU is a combination. It can be used as a makeup primer, and it adds moisture, and has a slight white cast to it. The description says "whitening", and I'm not sure exactly what KLAAVU means, but in other brands' contexts, it might be "glowing", or "lit from within". It has a sort of sheer luminescence to it.Some people may not like the slight white cast; if I were not so pale, I might be a bit dubious.It feels silky on my skin, and it smells slightly floral and very good. Highly recommended, if you like dewy, slightly light, glowy sunscreen.

Leaves a white cast that’s very hard to get rid of. I’ll notice it hours after applying on my hands. I’ve stopped using it on my face because it looked like I was wearing white paint and you nearly gotta rub your face raw to make it less noticeable. Can’t tell if it’s moisturizing or it’s just oily.

Klavuu is one of the more reliable, and reasonably priced, K-Beauty brands I've discovered on Amazon, having tried several of their products and been pleased with just about all of them.For someone who rarely wears makeup, I have a strange fondness for makeup primer. I love the way it makes my skin feel almost preternaturally smooth. This has a primer-like feel plus sunscreen, making it a great daily wear item either under or instead of makeup. There's no anti-aging ingredient that will do more to preserve your skin's youthfulness than daily sunscreen usage. This doesn't sting or feel heavy going on after your regular moisturizer; it glides on and leaves skin silky smooth. It also has that slight "blurring" effect of primer, where you skin actually looks a little smoother and more matte as well.Like this one a lot and will definitely buy again.

KLAVUU is one of those unique K-Beauty brands that either works for me, or doesn't. When the product delivers, I'm there for it. But, not all their skincare products play well with my dry sensitive, allergy-prone skin. They're either scent-free (my preference) or overpowering and make me sneeze. My all-time fave Klavuu product is PURE PEARLSATION pH BALANCING QUICK CLEANSING PADS. No fragrance. Sheer heaven. I swear I would die without those pads because there's nothing like them.But, this sunscreen is another mismatch for me. I'm afraid UV Protection Secret Tone Up Sunscreen SPF 50+ is a bad match for my dry, sensitive skin and the product isn't all it's cracked up to be, or what it wants to be -- which is virtually everything at once. Good for oily and dry skin? (Not on my dry skin.) Both skin types have totally different needs. It professes to moisturize and improve wrinkles, but can also be used as a makeup base and primer with silky texture and skin tone-up effect. All that might be true for oily, but not dry skin. How is it possible to be totally contradictory things at once? Oil control, toning skin and hydrating dry skin. Nope.As in my photos, the silky-looking cream goes on white and absorbs to a moisturized, non-white sheen that turns dry within in a minute. That's quite the magic act. It's pretty difficult for a sunscreen to absorb excess oil in skin and simultaneously moisturize. I also noticed it whitens skin, as well. Maybe it'll do the dishes, too. I don't mean to be facetious because I truly appreciate and like products in this brand, but I need a moisturizing sunscreen that protects. I'm not looking for total skincare in a sunscreen product and the chemical scent bothers me anyway. I really don't like the dried finish, whether it's on my body or my face, as with this product.Tries to be too many things at once, and too drying on my skin. Please Klavuu, go unscented in your skincare line so that all your products will appeal to all of us. And concentrate on one skin type or another for a product, not one that tries and fails to do it all.
