My favorite in this series
This one is probably my favorite out of the series. It has the most drama, mystery and romance out of all four books. It it has some really great layers with flashbacks.I think its awesome that Anna is the the outsider looking in to Lexy, Bill and Megan’s life. She provides an unbiased opinion and at the same time, you can see the parallel to her own relationship issues. I really enjoyed the fact that she is so unsure with herself and she is aware that she needs time to process all her tumultuous feelings instead of jumping into something she will regret later.Anna shows a lot of growth in this book I think. She matures even more with her ability to keep a secret and her firm resolve to focus on herself. She has some slip ups but does not give up. She has great drive to be good in her chosen career and while she feels intimidated she doesn’t allow that to detour her quest for the truth.Julian takes his attraction to Anna up a notch. He is sweet, patient and isn’t afraid to show affection to her. He starts to open up to her about himself and we dive beneath their surface feelings in this one. I mean, how could you not love him when he starts revealing his fears and what drives his passion for art? ::Le sigh:: He is showing Anna how much he cares for her by trusting her with his private thoughts. I find this incredibly sexy.

this is a good series...
But I kind of have to agree with some reviews that the 3 journals were a bit much, yet they did give some (expected) insight that led to the betrayal. I'm annoyed that I have to wait to book 4 to see if the adulters get their just deserved onslaught of anger and disgust from the remaining children, Gigi, and frinds when they realize the truth and timeline of the affair. What seems to bother me with this series is that the writer tends to downplay appropriate responses an annoyed, irritated, or even angry (a Black teenage girl) would have. Some dialogue comes across as unnatural. Why would Anna allow Summer to hang around her once she started making inappropriate comments? The author left too many events not addressed, socially speaking... the issues she (Anna) had with people never really had closure... that left me wondering like ok... so when is she going to give them a piece of her mind? Try never. That was really frustrating. I assumed that Anna was an African American character from the Dragonfly cover and the description of her hair. I felt disappointed that her character was written as a weak female, being a black female myself, I wanted to enjoy her spirit, but I felt like she was a Caucasian woman, most (maybe not all) of us Black women have a low tolerance to be disrespected, and it felt like Anna became a doormat for the females and Jack in the story. If you are to have ethnic characters in a story, please have a couple of people from that groups as editors. I do like the story, I love her moral code of honesty with Julian, that's why I'm waiting to buy book 4, but please make Anna stronger and not so pathetic.

Love it!
Out of all the books in this series, Undertow is my favorite. I love the different perspectives and I believe the writing was better than the other three books. I love the series but Anna is a little hard to sympathize, so in this book, not having her as the main focus was very interesting. The turn of events is very sad, and unfortunately someone out there might have a similar story. I know a lot of people probably have Alex after reading Meg's side, but at the end of the day, Alex is human and everyone makes mistakes. Yes, what she did was very low, considering who Meg was to her, but, you can't help who you love. She should just have done things differently. But this book truly was wonderful, I love the character development, the writing, the scenery descriptions, and the emotions. I was heartbroken at the end, and it's hard to find a book like that, especially in YA. Absolutely recommend!

A little past knowledge
This book is more of a background on what happened between Bill, Meg, and Lexi. Anne is back and she is reading the journals that Bill gave her to read. As much as she wants to tell Julian the secret that she knows, she knows that she needs to read these journals to see why Lexi doesn't want to say anything. This book is great! It has love, hate, drunken nights in Mexico, boats, and buildings. But most importantly it has love. The journals that she reads are full of love and devotion.I am glad that I read this book. Now I know some more information. I didn't like that it was such a short read. It left me wanting more NOW!!! I will have to wait till the third book comes out!! Leigh did an amazing job at making it seem like Anne was reading word for word what was going on, like she was right there with them. You need to get this book!!!

Wow
This was a delightful love story with lots of steamy sex and drama. Storyline was wonderful. I laughed, cried and screamed with the characters as the scenes unfolded. I can't wait to start the next book in this series.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
This book is beyond amazing. The plot was superb the way she included the three journals to tell us what had happened was fantastic.Out of the three journals I loved Alex's and Bill's best. They were full of passion and tension and drama and all the works. When I was close to the end of lex book it was in the night and I had to be screaming into my pillow. I went to sleep dreaming of lex wrap in Bill's arm it was that amazing. I don't really like Meg don't get me wrong didn't want her to die but she was too desperate the things she did to hold on to her no wonder Bill fall out of love with her. I LOVE Bill, I LOVE Alex, I LOVE Billy and Lex <3😆😻. I LOVE Julian. Gotta go Watercolour awaits.😁

Undertow by Leigh Talbert Moore
I loved how this book carried on from the first ( Dragonfly ) and how Anna's understanding of the series events get them to where they are now thanks to the journals that Bill gives her. It's nice to have all 3 character's perception so you, as a reader, can see it all more clearly. Brilliant.

Kind of sad
I loved the book and the different points of view through the journals, it was a very good way to tell the story. It's weird, you really want to be angry at Bill but you can't, I guess that's how well he's written into the story.
