Pinaud's Eau de Portugal is a really nice and clean hair tonic. It has a mild orange/gin scent, and splashes out of the plastic stopper very evenly and easily. The tonic itself is meant to help stimulate the scalp and kinda revitalize one's hair. One can style hair very well when it's wet, and it leaves your hair looking a little damp but not slicked. Eau de Portugal is a grease-less tonic, and once your hair has dried with it on, your style will stay pretty much as-is until the wind gets to it or someone tussles your hair. The hold itself it pretty minimal, but tonic's aren't meant to be like gel. This Pinaud (like the others) gives a subtle management to hair, and makes you look and feel good after a shower. I would highly recommend this product, along with literally any other Pinaud item!

Light and citrusy that scent only lasts a little bit and then is just there barely if you smell the hair close up. Tingles on the scalp and does its job. Hold lightly. So perfect for the hair that’s in its usual spot but want to give it a slight shine.

This stuff smells clean, and it does its job to keep hair in place. I bought it because I trust this brand. But the sticky/tacky hold just isn't for me because it seems to dry my scalp. Still, for those looking for a solution that sets the hair with a nice, dry look — this is the ticket.

I hate to be knocked over by a noxious scent of hair tonic or after shave. this is lovely and keeps his hair gently in place.My husband has fine hair which the Clubman Eau De Portugal gently holds in place all day with an light linger of citrus scent. He has mention the tingle and whiff of citrus he experiences when applying is invigorating.He always comes to me when he becomes dissatisfied with a personal scented product - somehow I don't expect him to become disenchanted with Clubman Eau De Portugal very soon.

As with all things Clubman, you have to approach them with a degree of calculated brashness and cautious trepidation. Some of their products are just NOT for me- but when I tried them I really WENT for them. You can't dabble in a Clubman product, you have to wholeheartedly BE the Clubman- even if it's only for one day. They're French, after all. So it was with this here hair stuff. I liked it enough of the Clubman products I'd tried to warrant a cautious go at this one. . .It smells... like an orange. Very orangey. If you've read several reviews that say "orange" and you really don't like orange and are hoping that it's all just orange to our noses and won't be to yours- you're wrong. This is like, ... someone just sat next to you on the train and ate a whole orange and rubbed it on your hair type of orange. Very orange, my friends. That said- I like orange, and it smells nice for oh, about 12 minutes, then it's gone, so no harm no foul. When I put it in my hair and some VIBR on my face I smell, according to my wife, "like Christmas." So you like Christmas, don't you??So that's it? No- the performance of this stuff is rather underwhelming, it's hard to say whether it has any long term effect on the hair, except that I've noticed it stays a little cleaner "feeling" if I don't wash my hair every day, which I don't- get over it. So yeah. It's cheap enough to try, and if you don't like Orange- DON'T get it.
