The Andymation flipbook kit is the best on the market. Don't bother with the other one sold on this site. High quality lightbox is the only one that has pegs on it to align and hold the paper while you are drawing. The lights are warm yellow rather than bright white, so not only is it easier on the eyes, but it seems to illuminate better through the paper (I have the other one from this site, too, and I can't use it for this very reason).This product was created by an animator/illustrator. It works fantastically and is no doubt the result of his many years of creating flipbooks, dreaming about making the perfect tool for the rest of us to use.This is a perfect gift (my grandsons love it), great for your inner child (I love mine, too), and will take you back to the magic of the simple, fun animation possible with flip drawings. I don't know about you, but I spend a lot of time in my math classes illustrating in the corners of the text book, making small animations as I struggled to understand why algebra would ever be necessary in my life (except for squaring quilts I make, it hasn't been!).Trust me. Spend the extra few bucks and get the Andymation kit and Andymation paper. You won't be sorry. And if you get the other brand first, it's okay. You'll get the Andymation one later because you'll be terribly unhappy and it'll fuel your desire to make flipbooks.Go ahead. Get it. You know you want to. My kid was into a phase where she was REALLY into learning about flipbooks after watching Andymation videos. He really does make it seem fun and somewhat easy. This is a really cool setup. Everything does exactly what it should. The holes help hold the paper in place, which is important for continuity and animating your idea properly. The backlight has plenty of brightness to glow through the paper.It's an excellent kit, and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to give flipbook animation a try.

What a spectacular product! The kids have been obsessed for hours and hours and are creating cool animation art. The materials are top notch and really set you up for success. Easily the best sub $100 item that I have ever purchased for the kids and I have enjoyed using it too! The Andymation videos on YouTube are a great source of how to’s for simple animation and inspiration for how you could grow to create the advanced and beautiful colored animations. Nice little starter kit for those budding artists. Kit comes with a miniature "light pad" to create the flip book with ease. Also includes "pegs" to hold the flip book pages together. I got 2 kits for the 2 grandsons and I already had a kit for myself. Now we can all 3 draw to our heart's content and have some "old fashioned fun"! It sure beats being on a gaming system all day! This is so much better! Creativity is awesome when those little ones have a few tools to help them! It was a nice early Christmas gift for both of them!

The light up pad is nice and has an extra long cable which is nice.The box came a little damaged but nothing happened to the inside.I'm a little disappointed from the paper: some have a ripple next to the holes. It doesn't affect the inside (painting side) and if the paper is notthe first or last page it will not affect the outcome, but that's just something that shouldn't be in a quality product.

The media could not be loaded. The quality was great 👍.Flipbook paper is very smooth and thin so its easy to flipthe screen lighted a little yellowish when I thought it would be white but it doesn't matter.Results turned fine, if you want to buy this kit, make sure you have great patience.Made about 11 flipbooks

The light pad seems to be made well. The snap-to-size binding screws are a fun touch. Everything is packaged brightly and cleanly. You can tell that there is some care put into the kit so that kids will enjoy it. This doesn't feel like a cheap cash grab by a YouTuber (which we are all too familiar with.)Maybe you could buy these items individually a little bit cheaper from some nameless and soulless manufacturer but I'm happy to support Andymation. My son loves his videos. He does a great job teaching the art of animation while also bringing a positive message and vibe to his viewers which is so much more than most do on that platform.
