A thriller with a great environmental message, one cannot afford to ignore.
Read the first book: The Devil's Prayer and simply thought, that was a amazing and gripping read. The sequel lives up to all my expectations - it's fast paced, takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and also smacks you with the hard realities, that we as a generation need to take stock of, and curtail - else we will leave the next generation with an unliveable planet. The book will get you to do three things: Retrospect, Reframe or Rally for the changes, author Luke strongly promotes through a captivating tale. A well-researched historical fiction thriller it keeps you on the edge at every page turn. A must-read.

Exciting read
No Shadows without Light by Luke Gracias is a work of historical fiction and the second installment of the series. Luke Gracias brings a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat, and I obsessively turn the pages from start to end.The book follows a hunt for missing pages of the Devil's bible, holding the Devil's prayer that can bring the Apocalypse. Siobahn is a girl who is in the middle of a conspiracy and has chosen to save humanity. She has no one to trust, not even her sister Jess, who wants these missing pages more than anyone else. I will not talk more about the story as it will be a spoiler. But I will say that I get a glimpse of Dan Brown novels in this book.I thoroughly loved the book, mainly the fantastic character craft. I loved the Siobahn's layered character. She is strong, yet her vulnerabilities and void because of betrayal is witnessed throughout the story. The book's central theme is Good vs. evil; however, it includes an array of themes like religious beliefs, inner conflicts, and human dark innate characteristics like greed, corruption, and betrayal well reflected with flipping pages. Through his descriptive and reflective writing, Luke reflects on contemporary times, where humanity loses over selfishness. The author is an environmentalist, and readers will find his area of expertise along the line with a strong message related to the environment.Ahan! And how can I forget to appreciate the picturesque narrative of the places that feel like enjoying the beach of Australia or Amalfi Cathedral, Italy, a Roman Catholic Structure.Though it is the second book of the series, you can read it as a standalone, as the author's first few pages will brush you up with the story. I loved the smooth transition of chronological events into two timelines, making the reading experience smooth. The story is exciting and filled with conspiracy, conflicts, historical events, action, and what else a reader looks for in great historical fiction.

MUST READ
I strongly recommend this book, for three reasons:1. It is the concluding part of my favourite thriller of the last decade, if not more, The Devil’s Prayer. And what a conclusion. Seemed impossible after the first book that the writer would be able to tie all the loose ends even in two more books. Credit to him for having done so with such aplomb in one book which has a soul of it’s own too. AND BY THE WAY, IF YOU HAVE NOT READ “THE DEVIL’S PRAYER” YET, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DROP EVERYTHING AND READ IT NOW!!2. Like the earlier book, this one too weaves a beautiful tapestry of historical fact and fiction (embellished by spectacular descriptions) - something that makes one unwilling to return to the humdrum present.3. The book does not provide answers to the questions plaguing our times, but does raise some pertinent, critical questions, and helps put things in perspective

Engaging, suspenseful , fascinating!!
A little of every good genre - adventure, horror, thriller, suspense and historyThis book is a sequel to the Devil's prayer and has all details that you will need to understand if you are starting with this book. But I would recommend to read the first one also to get the full effect!!This book felt like a mixture of Indiana Jones (treasure hunt of long lost bible) and Dan Brown ( scary monks, violence, murders and suspense). The book is filled with beautiful photos of various locations for you to picturise as you read the book. The historical details in the story will show the research done by the author to give depth to characters and various events. The details may feel long and like a slow start however as you continue to read, it becomes interesting

If only the humans listened and acted accordingly
No Shadow without Light continues with the journey of our lead Siobhan in search of ancient, long buried pages of the Devil's Prayer. With every page Siobhan reads and relates it to the world as we know it today you can't help but aggree how relevant it is all. The message, written ages ago, is simple take care of the planet you were born on ; if you don't you maay nit hurt yourself now or even directly but yoou are hurting your future generations. After reading both the books - The Devils Prayer and this one especially how it ends it felt an important story for today's times yet there is a moment where it also feels a bit anticlimactic. I couldn't help but feel it was just a temporary reprieve and there's more too come which is not necessarily something I look forward to as a human being.

Fantastic
What a work of historical fiction the author has done in this book and no doubt it's a very page turning book. The story is majorly based on missing pages of Devil's Bible and the main character Siobahn have to find them with all powers to stop her sister Jess because they both are like two sides of a human being (the devil and angle). And moreover I felt that I'm watching a movie based on truth wins over evil.I loved how Siobahn's stand out among all difficulties she faced and chose a right path only. And it's a very worthfull read because it is based on Good v/s bad theme and these both character are present in human itself on which he has to conquer . This book is a standalone and all appreciation goes to Luke who presented all things very beautifully. And the story is so interesting.

An exciting mystery with a profound message
This book is the follow-up to Luke Gracias' excellent "The Devil's Prayer". It is an absolute rip-roaring rollercoaster ride from beginning to end, akin to the best Indiana Jones movies. But, while the twist and turns make it impossible to put the book down, it's a sobering message of the book that will stick with you once you've turned over the last page.

Another great book by Luke Gracias!
I loved this book and how it pulled both past and present together. With Siobhan on one side of the battle and her beloved sister Jess on the opposite side, they are in a race between good and evil where only one can win. In order to save most of mankind, Siobhan will have to leave behind the sister she adores, which is not an easy task. I hated how many awesome characters died in this book but it all came together so epically that it just worked! This was a fantastic book!

Amazing Book, Amazing Message
I have looked forward to this sequel to The Devil's Prayer for so long and was not disappointed. The story was fast paced and kept me turning pages late into the night. But the message contained in this book was something I didn't expect and has affected me greatly and in, what I hope, is a very positive way. There are no other books I can compare "The Devil's Prayer" and "No Shadow Without Light" to. They are both very worthy of a movie in my opinion. They are two of the best and most unforgettable books I have read.
