IT failed after 1 week
the transmission failed on it gears where grinding , I called early enough in the day I was able to take it to UPS store in 30 mins after calling they shipped a new one out got it the very next day ,That was very nice. I'm using it for several things including chain saw carving it started leaking more oil on bar and chain since temp has raised outside oil getting all over the place and I am using bar oil made for that ? and after getting the 2nd same saw it worked well for a while but transmission also went out this saw works well for an electric one but can not handle hard cutting over and over, I passed Amazons return this time so had to use warranty I got to get credit to get another saw

Descent value for the money
I bought this to take down two huge diseased cherry trees, and also used it to take down a large pine tree that was starting to lean towards the house. I worked pretty well for all those, but towards the end, it needed a new chain, as the one that came with it got to be pretty dull. On installing the new chain, I found it jumped otu of the groove a few times. I suspect when you change the chain you shoudl also change the bar.I picked this product because it used and Oregon chain and bar which is easier to find and replace. Be cure to order the same product number(s) indicated in the manual, as other Oregon chains of the same size won't fit, as I discovered through ordering the right size but wrong product number, the size difference being one chain link, but the first chain ordered was too small.Anyway, it got the job done.I also dug up the root balls and used the chain saw on some of the larger roots. To do that you have to dig out under the roots, so the sw doesn't dig into the dirt.If you take out a tree, here's a tip. Leave about five or six feet of the trunk, and when you dig out the base, you may be able to rock the trunk back and forth which will weaken and break off the tap root(s). Once the trunk is free, you can finish cutting up the trunk.

Hesitant at first, but glad I made this purchase.
This is a great saw, strange color scheme notwithstanding! Solidly built and very simple to use. All a new owner has to do is put on the chain, add chainsaw oil, check for proper tension of the chain, plug the saw into an extension cord, and start cutting. This is all I had to do before spending about one and a half hours cutting up into logs half a dozen trees I had left on the perimeter of my property last year. The wood was hard and seasoned, averaging about 10 to 12 inches in diameter. There was no chain binding, no decrease in power. The saw went through all of them easily and smoothly... Very happy with my purchase... Read the included user manual: true, there's not much to do, compared to a gas-powered, but it is still necessary in order to avoid frustration. Also, make sure there is always chainsaw oil in the reservoir, and keep adjusting the tension. All chainsaws will require chain adjustment frequently during use because of the heat that is generated. This is my second electric chainsaw. I am spoiled; I will never go back to gas!

Outstanding! Highly recommended. GREAT SERVICE!!!
I am not a proffessional, but live on a 10 acre farm that requires I have a chainsaw. Besides the Zombi, I also own a Stihl 290 w 16” bar. With a sharp chain both saws perform almost similiarly, slicing through wood at a satisfactory pace. I just felled a tree with the Zombi, then cut it up for easier transport with my tractor and it did such an excellent job, that this is the saw I will reach for first. It feels solid but if it falls apart on me within one or two years, Ill buy a Zombi every year. Get it, read the instructions, check the chain slack and oil level religiously and adjust, and you will never have problems. Get this saw, you wont regret it. Ive included photos of what I took down. A picture is worth a thousand words.UPDATE: Saw motor gave out in a puff of smoke today after a little over 6 months of use while cutting down another tree. Although I have a Stihl and a Murray chainsaw, the Zombie had easily become my goto. I feel sorry I have to go back to gas while I replace my saw. I will reach out to the manufacturer to see if there is something they can do. I really loved this saw.UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer, Great States Corporation, American Lawnmower Company and spoke to “Steven” who immediately checked on my warranty and found it was still active. Steven walked me through troubleshooting the saw and when it failed to work, took my word the saw was not working and immediately issued a replacement order. I received a link via email to where I uploaded a copy of my purchase invoice almost immediately after my phone call and 5 days later UPS delivered a brand new Zombie.I cannot be happier. This saw is not only an outstanding product, but this is an outstanding company manned by knowledgeable professionals like Steven. This product is highly recommended and doubly so because of the fantastic service provided by this company.

Incredible piece of equipment.
Had this for a while and hadn’t really used it. We had a giant old elm taken down in our hoa’s Park and had a work party today to cut and split it. Five other guys showed up with their gas powered saws and started getting the ready to cut. They all looked at me like I was crazy when I ran a cord from the electric box and plugged in my Zombi. This saw out preformed every other one their. I cut all day (7 hours) on some hard elm and never had an issue. Everyone else had to stop and fuel up, clean an air filter, let it cool down, get out a wrench and tighten the chain. Not me. I did have to adjust the tension twice, but it took about ten seconds. The chain even stayed sharp. The fact that this saw ran circles around a stihl, two dolmars, an echo, and a poulan, has made me a Zombi customer for life. By the end, the other guys were taking turns with my saw! Amazing piece of equipment for an incredible price!
