I made lip balm with this, but it is brown. Not sure why but no rich red color as was expected.

Did not work!
I wanted to make a lip and cheek tint and this did not change color the way it is supposed to.I tried simmering it for 20 minutes, nothing. Then I tried again for 2 hours, nothing. I have it still in a jar with oil and still not red, more like a brownish purple black. I would like a refund , since this didn't work at all..
