Lume works, it just does.
If you have been waiting to try Lume, let this be your sign to try it. As a menopausal woman I was having persistent odor in one armpit that kept coming back, immediately after showering almost, no matter what I used... apparently this is a thing when our hormones are shifting and changing. Having cut my ties with anti-perspirant and detoxed from all that aluminum years ago, I was not willing to go back to a traditional combo like that, but all my trusted natural deodorants, even the one I make on my own, were not helping this particular problem. Lume enters the chat... I was hesitant because of the price, but ordered the scent sampler cream deodorants so I could test out all the scents... and WOW, it totally, 100% took the odor away, and lasts 48-72 hours! I decided on my fave scents and ordered this set of Clean Tangerine (my number one pick)... the stick works just as well as the cream. The magic is in the mandelic acid, which does have a weird scent at first in the cream deoderant, but that 100% goes away once it's on. Here are my favorite scent picks. 1. Clean Tangerine, a delicate citrus but really just as it sounds... very clean smelling... not too strong and not too fruity. 2. A close second is the Lavender and Sage, only if you love lavender, it is very herby and delicious smelling, a bit stronger than the clean tangerine and heavy on the lavender. I love it. 3. Peony Rose, flowery and not too cloying, a bit strong at first but dries down light and floral... very girly. 4. Toasted Coconut, many people love this one the most, but for me, I don't love my armpits smelling like food... it's very warm and foody, almost more hazelnut creamer smelling to my nose. It does eventually smell like coconut after a few hours. 5. Fresh Alpine, I wanted to like this one more, but it reminds me of a typical, sweet, men's cologne... which I do not mind, it just smells more masculine than I want to smell. It lasted a long time too. 6. Cucumber mint... nah, too basic bathroom air freshener smelling for me, and too strong. I did not test the unscented, but that is a great option if you want 0 interference from scents, and the soft powder, because that did not appeal to me at all.

Product Works - But Figure Out Your Fav Scent
This stuff works SO well for body odor. The only reason I tried it was because the inventor is an OB/GYN, and obviously she’s a genius to come up with this. My brothers and I always joke that “we’re a sweaty people” because we cannot do anything without sweating. This product doesn’t prevent sweat (no aluminum), but sweating for a good chunk of the day = odor. And honestly I’ve never found a product that I can’t sweat through. I usually carry a tube of old spice and a bottle of perfume everywhere with me. I tested out the cream deodorant by using it in my buttcrack. I had to get a true feel for the effectiveness. After 30 minutes on the stair master the NEXT DAY, I did a swipe before my shower and my butt still smelled like coconut. Gross test, but it doesn’t lie. However I do not love the toasted coconut scent. To me, it smells kind of like buttered popcorn and coconut? It’s fine for underboob/armpit, but that scent with inner thigh/butt use was just gross. I’m still figuring out my favorite scent, but I’ll never give up on this product. Also - amazing for ingrown hairs. Unlike a lot of other whole body deodorants, Lume has a gentle chemical exfoliant, which helps prevent ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation. As a truly truly sweaty person, this product feels like a miracle.

Costly but Effective
I am not one to write reviews, but thought I should. Lately, I've developed sensitivity in my armpits due to my own sweat after I shave my pits when I do shave, I normally I use a epiliator to remove my hair, since I can not wax them on my own (I've tried). Anyway, I've been searching for the last 6 years for new deodorants as I used to only use Old Spice. Yes, I know that its a men's deodorant/antiperspirant but I loved the smell and it worked all day. But then it caused a rash, so I heard about aluminum free. Ive tried so many natural deodorants from Crystal to Tom's. Then named brands like Dove or Secret that have aluminum free ingredients. To no avail, these ended up causing or increasing my rash developments. And because of all these type of aluminum free deodorants my pits development a pigmentation. So not attractive and made feel unclean. So I broke down and tried lume. Not knowing what scent to choose or cream versus the standard stick. With scents,I can not stand Vanilla scents, the unscented had mix reviews so I chose the Peony Rose. The stick smelled pleasant, not strong so nice but the stick will only last you 6 weeks. I bought this on 11/1 and used it on day one. However, on day one I smelled the cream and by golly that was the worse smelling thing ever. I'm going to use it since I am out of the stick and see if it just as good as the stick version, I'll just have to not put it against my nose. I have changed my subscribe and save to a different scent- the toasted coconut, so I'll be back to update about if the new scent is better. But overall- lume kept my bo at bay, healed the discoloration of my pits and did not cause a rash but healed my rashes (with a little help of a good organic diaper cream). This product is costly, like all other things. But, if it helps and works I'll have to make due. More review coming soon after I get the coconut scented one.

Will Keep Buying - It Works!
This stuff works. It seems like I sweat a lot more wearing it, but I will take that over having a stench. It completely eliminates the odor. I know it's not an anti-perspirant. The bar has less of an initial odor than the cream, but all bearable and you kind of get used to it after a while. Size is fair for the price. Love that there is no aluminum, but honestly haven't paid too much attention to the ingredients. Cleans off easily.

Great value for the money
It is a great deodorant and if you are sensitive to perfume smells, the unscented is perfect. It provides long lasting sweat and odor protection, and an added benefit is it can be used anywhere on your body Some might think it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I believe it is a great value for the money.

I wish I had this my entire adult life
I kept seeing all those crazy commercials and hearing the ads online. I am large chested, a little overweight (some fun little folds) and a big sweater. I had a hard time finding a deodorant that worked for me and have been using the same one for years but it has become very hard to find. This took care of the pits but when I got boob sweat or any other sweaty parts (where my legs connect to my torso for example) I would either have to use baby powder (messy) or take some kind of facial wipe and run it under my bra during the day. I decided to try Lume...it had actually been a joke in our house because my kids used to laugh at the ad and say that it was gross. Where have you been all my lift. Ok, so I feel weird because I am giving TMI but it is important for anyone that is unsure. After my shower, I take the solid stick, run it along my bra line, the inside of my thighs where my legs connect to my body and I have one little area where I have a little belly that sweats when I sit down. I could be in a sauna for an hour, come out and if someone sniffed my cleavage, it would smell like a lovely flower. Here is the deal with the invisible cream. It does not smell like the solid. It actually smells kinda weird. I believe it does because it is like a neutralizer. I actually use that for my tush and I have no fear hot sweaty I was, I'm not going to stink. I am fanatically about showering every day but for those days I stay home and stay in my pj's, I can go 48 hours and still smell pleasant. I recently took the chance and tried to use the solid under my arms. I am continuing to use my usual deodorant but I know one day I will not be able to get it and I think this solid will become my go to. I only have tried the peony scent but would like to try others...but I love this one so much!

Overwhelming scent and poor value
Tl;Dr: PRO: +Gentle on sensitive skin +Masks odor CONS: -EXPENSIVE -Cream smells like chlorine -Cream doesn’t dry -Overwhelming artificial smelling fragrance (Peony Rose) I liked the sampler body wash and wanted to try the deodorant (Peony Rose variety) I bought this during a lightning deal thinking I was getting a DEAL.. (also thought it was a full-size body wash and deodorant stick.. oops, my fault) This is a 3oz cream deodorant that smells mostly like chlorine with a VERY perfumey, artificial-smelling floral fragrance trying to mask it. (Peony rose) The smell of the stick deodorant is EXTREMELY overwhelming. I had to wipe it off and put on a shirt with sleeves to cover some of the scent because I didn’t have time for a shower to wash it off. The cream smells like chlorine but the stick doesn’t. It could be because the scent is so much more concentrated in the stick. In the body wash it was fine because only a bit of fragrance lingers. If you are sensitive to smell, I can’t recommend the deodorant. I have used the cream on parts far away from my nose and it seems to mask odor and does not cause irritation to my sensitive skin. The cream seems to never dry and it feels unpleasant having the feeling of slime in the groin area that never dries. I think the tangerine or lavender sage would have been more tolerable scent-wise. I gave the deodorant stick to my 8 year old who likes obnoxiously strong scents. $30 for a stick of deodorant and 3oz tube of chlorine scented cream is a rip off. Ethique makes better deodorant. Save your money.

Works but...
The big positive is that it works. I've never had a deodorant work so well. I have a few hormonal issues on top of anxiety sweats and it is bad but this has saved me the stinky embarrassment. However, the reason I'm taking a star off is because with daily use my armpits have gotten sensitive and have acquired a painful and itchy rash (my guess is that the mandelic acid -AHA- has caused that and decided to go about it as I do with my skin care). After taking care of the irritation I started experimenting and so far I can use it every other day (and use something else in between) without much issue. When I feel my skin getting a little tingly I give it a 2-3 days break until it feels fine and then go back to every other day use. If you have sensitive skin you will have to be more careful. I wish I could use it every day but I'll take what I can until Lume gives us something even better :D As for the smell, it does smell funky when you put it on and for a few good minutes but after it sinks into your skin the smell is gone, at least for me.
