FreeStyle Armband 2 for Freestyle Libre 1 & 2 14 Day : up to 30" Inch Adjustable Flexible Transmitter Protection Sensor Cover - SENSOR SAVER - No More Adhesive Patches (PURPLE)

The Freestyle Libre Sensor applicator attaches the sensor to the user's skin using a small sheet of double-sided adhesive. It is supposed to remain in place for 14 days, and then the user must peel if off the skin by hand before applying a new sensor. On several occasions, a sensor became partially or completely detached prematurely. The obvious reasons appeared to be: excessive sweat from working outdoors in South Texas summer heat; snagging on clothes or a door or window frame and becaming partially detached; or the adhesive presumably just didn't last the 14 days and started to separate. I'm on about my fourth sensor using the Protective Activity Shield ("Libre Shield" is printed on the strap), and I have had no more of these issues. The shield consists of an elastic cloth band with a sliding round plastic cover that fits snugly over the sensor, that the user wraps around their arm and sensor after the sensor has been applied. The ends of the band come together with a velcro buckle that can be adjusted for comfort. The skin side of the band has an anti-slip pattern of rubber-like material applied to it that keeps it in place. I have been wearing the Libre Shield 24/7, including in the shower, and only take it off when switching sensors.

This product arrived in two separate pieces with no instructions at all. So I have no idea how to set it up. Thus, the product is of no use to me. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find set up instructions anywhere. It therefore was not a positive purchase on my part.

Unfortunately I am unable to truly give a review on the performance of the product, but I can tell you that if you have arms that are on the larger side I would pass on this and go with the stickers/patches. This does have some stretch to it, but not enough for me. Bummer.

I've wasted so much money accidentally pulling out my Libre sensors. This thing is a life saver!

I liked the idea. It looks nice but the band is too small for my arm.

I purchased this item to secure my Libra sensor in place while working out, Unfortunately it didn't not hold up and another sensor has bitten the dust.Please save your money and invest in the actual Bandaged Cover for your sensor.

Lo compré para proteger el sensor freestyle 2 de mi hija de 4 años y ha dado un resultado excelente. No deja que se moje el sensor, ni en la piscina, ni en la ducha ni en la playa. Es cómodo y nada aparatoso de llevar. Mi hija está encantada y yo también.
