Powerful with a brushless motor, I highly recommend this set. Worth noting that the set here is by far the best price. More than $100 less than HD and every other retailer out there. I only needed the driver and privately sold the impact for $140. Additionally, you may get lucky and receive 2.0 batteries instead of the 1.5. as I did.

This is my favorite drill kit for installing cabinets. The impact drill is light weight so not a lot Fatigue on your arms . I have dewalt but this is my go to . The drill is actually better now then past drills . When you use these a lot the clutch is going to fail. I don’t like to buy to many tools on amazon but price was better then box stores. ( seems to be most products now ) but delivery was fast as usual and drill has been great. Did by dewalt battery circular saw and arbor was bent and return was very easy .

Got these on sale and do not regret it one bit. Will be buying more products for sure and love the compact size and power these put out. Lots of torque, long battery life, easy to use, high quality.

I absolutely adored this set and bought one from the local big box following return. Unfortunately, this item was shipped to me used and the chuck on the drill was stuck/broken. It made a horrible cracking noise whenever loosening or tightening the chuck. Kind of the same noise it makes a couple times as the chuck is fully tightened. My last Sub-Compact set was basically the version of this from 15 years ago and was flawless until I killed it mixing thinset when no other drill was available. This new set is lighter and much more powerful, responsive, and even speedier. I have several drills from dewalt and makita that I have put through there paces as much as a real home DIY'er can. The subcompacts are my favorite to hook to my belt and climb a few stories or throw in the back of my truck as I goto help a friend. I really can't recommend enough for a secondary drill or for a light home DIY'er. Just don't overload them doing something stupid like mixing grout/thinset, or driving XL lag bolts.

I have been using makita products all my life. even though there’s nothing wrong with the drill I have. I decided to get this kit for Christmas for myself because I’m finding it harder to hold my 25-year-old Makita drill above my head. I honestly wish I had bought these 25 years ago that was so light and efficient. I use the smallest battery which comes with the kit and it seems to last much longer than the one with the 20-year-old trail probably cause they’re lithium rather than nicad. It is very light and easy to use. The impact driver is amazing. I don’t know how it works, but I have not stripped a thread or head yet!

Drill and impact are solid and work great, the charger unfortunately came with an American plug not a UK plug so had to get a adapter and the very first time I plug it in the charger internals popped and it dose not work at all
