Revlon Colorsilk Beautiful Color Permanent Hair Color, (OLD VERSION) 11 Soft Black (Pack of 3)

I USED to have long hair and went to a salon bc they convinced me they had to strip all the box dye from my hair before bleaching, etc. (Someone out there already knows what I’m going to say next) lol She FRIED my hair!! I have used this product for many years and have always had excellent results. I should’ve stayed with what I was using, but I wanted a change (and got it) but NEVER, EVER do anything major to your hair BEFORE an event!!Stay with what is tried & true! When I had long hair one box covered everything but I would get more just in case. And it’s inexpensive but it does a great job! I have spent hundreds (thousands over the years) on salon visits and if you’re covering roots or have a “one color & done” type of hair style, this will work. Save your money! I have a pixie cut now & still love using this dye for my needs. My hair color is in between dark brown and black but I went with soft black bc I felt it covered my stubborn grays more efficiently. IMO, it doesn’t look fake black, my hair is soft and shiny and lasts up to 3 weeks with a sulfate free shampoo & conditioner. I hope this helps.

I have been using Revlon ColorSilk Permanent Hair Color for many years! I have tried other at home hair color brands, even those that are far more expensive, and I always regret it! I don’t bother trying any other brands now because ColorSilk is by far and away the best! It goes on so easily and makes my hair silky smooth and super shiny! My hair actually looks and feels better after coloring! Most importantly, Revlon ColorSilk does NOT damage my very fine, but thick hair! The scent is not overpowering, meaning no strong fumes that makes it hard to breathe, no burning or irritation on my scalp, and the color lasts longer than any other brands I have used! I will never use any other hair color product at this point! I am a Revlon ColorSilk lifer! Just so ya know, I was not paid for this review, I did not get this product for free, and do not know anyone who works for the company or any subsidiaries! I just LOVE this product!

Good for grey hiar

I constantly get comments on my hair color! This black is not the deadly coal black that others are. It IS black, but has a softness to it that must be quite visible to others, because of the constant comments I get on the color. It is well priced, effective and I will use it as long as it's made!

Great price for 3 boxes. The color does not stay for a month, just for few weeks.

I have brown hair with a some gray in it. I have always used Loreal Preference Soft black. Its a trick taught to me by my female barber. Even though its black its soft black which kinda means brown. When I put it on in covers the gray and doesn't look black and blends in. The average person wouldn't know I color my hair. A pro would. The Revlon is Darker. I wanted to touch up brown hair I didn't want to make it black. I've rewritten this review because this product is a great product but needs some attention when using it. It works almost instantly and is darker than Loreal but you just have to use less and don't keep it on that long. It seems to last longer than Loreal Preference which is a good product. Once you understand how to use this product you won't go back. It's not only a lot cheaper but lasts longer. I only put the product on for a minute before I rinse it off.

I've been using this hair dye since middle school and stopped for about three years to grab colors that were easier to strip since I wanted to do different colors all the time. Now that I'm a mom I'm so extremely tired constantly, don't want to take my baby to a salon with foul chemical smells, and overall just don't have time. I wash my hair every few days and this color will last for about 4-6 months (whether you do 30 minutes due to no grey or forty five minutes because being in the nicu for 110 days turned you into a silver fox in your mid twenties due to stress) it covers everything. There's also no right or wrong way to use this, sure you're better off parting into four parts and running it through carefully but if you have your boyfriend do it by practically just pouring it on the top of your head then evenly distributing it throughout the rest and then cover it with a grocery bag it will apparently be fine lol. And just like that my hair that faded to chestnut brown became raven feather black in fourty-five minutes and now this tired a** mom will look great for the next few months without having to do anything but comb, pin, or occasionally curl it. Now let's be real this stuff is better then any glue that can be bought it will last months and be a pain to strip out-not to mention expensive. Overall I'd recommend it! Oh and if you want the darkest black use soft black, I've used every shade of black they have and this is by far the darkest!
