Alex DIY Happy Little Loom Kit Kids Art and Craft Activity

I have gifted a few of these looms over the years! It’s a great fidget toy for anyone who needs to be doing something with their hands and also likes to make things. :) My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with enough yarn! I have found that the easiest yarns to work with in the loom are soft, with very little stretch… anything lion brand seems to work well.

The reason my purchase wasn’t rated giftable is that I bought one that had a problem with the packaging. The loom itself is giftable and I have recommended it to my local weaving guild as something great for portable weaving.The loom works well and produces a nice even fabric after some practice and a few tries.

The instruction is not too clear but it's easy to figure out.The looming is not super easy but simple enough for young children to do it. Setting up is kind of annoying because each of those pink pins moves on their own. But this is perfect to make strong straps for knitted handbags which is why I bought it. Finishing it is kind of hideous though because you have to tie the knots again and again.

If you want to use this as a starter for kids then it will be a nice gift. If you want to use this product long term consider using something with a little more solid construction. The item was very nicely packaged but upon trying to use it the rods continued to slip out of the loom and the blue piece that is supposed to hold them in place also slipped off (often).For kids I vote yes. For anything else. Keep looking.

I purchased this as a gift for my sons friend. He became super interested in it and usually enjoys doing handi crafts. I offered to get him one as well and he was excited but when I mentioned its something fun he can do on a road trip or plane he got discouraged because he is worried he will be made fun if because of its girl colors. this seems like a great product my friend's kid has been using it hoping to see more versions in the near future.

Very happy with this toy for my 10 year old. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand and she was able to make many of the designs with little to no help from anyone else. She loves all of the designs in the kit and has even come up with several of her own ideas. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for ideas for crafty girls in the 8-14 year old range.

Package was delayed for almost a week. Hope it's worth the wait. I ordered vit for a birthday gift now it has to go for Christmas. Will reconsider the start rating after I pick it up and it's good
