Seiko SRPB55 Mens Black Ion Prospex Automatic Dive Watch

This is a fantastic offering from Seiko. I have three modern Seikos and this is my favorite. The SRP773 Turtle is a really great watch with good styling, a nice bracelet, good movement and at a fair price. The problem with these was more in the execution than the design. Many of these watches had a misaligned bezel. I'm not sure if they have even fixed this issue (end '17). The bezel also protrudes slightly past the inset bezel ring, making it more vulnerable to dings. Mine runs fairly slow and probably needs to be regulated. The soft rounded case is a nice design and the lume is wonderful.The Samurai gets its execution down in addition to its design. The watch runs great, keeps good time, and the bezel feels amazing and lines up better than my Turtle and downmarket Seiko chronograph. The PVD coating is really nice on this watch. It is thinly applied and I fear it will wear quickly, but not sure on that. The coating softens the really sharp case lines and is nicely contrasted by the soft black strap and carried through to the buckle hardware. The strap is really soft and comfortable and fits this design perfectly. I think this strap beats the bracelet in the satin model. The handset is beautiful and the lume is even better than in the Turtle. I like the gold accents on the Samurai. They are more than subtle enough, considering that gold is a very out of fashion color in a watch these days and the bezel tones it down to more of a bronze anyway. Very unique color configuration here. The movement is the same as the Turtle (minus the day wheel) and offers hand winding and hacking, all great on that front. The dial looks good. If you are worried about the waffle pattern, it is more subtle in person than in pictures.For the price of $280, you are getting a fantastic mid-high level Seiko. You can't ask for much more here. If you like the styling, get it. They nailed everything else. If you are between the Turtle and Samurai, get them both, but start with the Samurai!

This watch has continually gone up in price since I purchased it...for good reason... it looks amazing. It works flawlessly, too. I combined two Strapcode razor bracelets... one gold one made for a Seiko turtle and one black one with straight ends (to fit the Samurai)... to match the black/gold/silver theme of my necklace which I assembled from Amazon parts. I also added a gold Strapcode ratchet diver buckle. I call it my "Tiger" theme... because I was born in the year of the tiger 🐯 😜. I'm very happy with the results.

I own about 10 different watches, and I have to say that this one is one of my favorites! While it's not the most expensive watch I own (I own an Omega Seamaster), it's simple, elegant and extremely comfortable to wear. The silicone band is amazingly comfortable. I've gotten many compliments on this watch, probably more than any other I own. I honestly can't think of any negative things to say about this great watch. Seiko knocked it out of the park when they made the Seiko Samurai!

I absolutely LOVE the look of this watch! I wanted a great looking very water resistant watch that I wouldn't have to worry about! And this Seiko delivers! Bezel is a bit stiff but I'm sure it will break in and be perfect (I've only had this watch for 3 weeks or so). My only problem is with the band . . . it drove me crazy always coming loose and sticking out. The seller tried to help (actually he was great!!) but it didn't help. I contacted Seiko and they were no help. Actually told me they had no band that would work on this watch - a 22 mm lug! Very disappointed in their reaction! But I got a black NATO band and all is good.

This is my first Seiko but will definitely not be the last. I was a little leery on how the band would feel with it being silicone- my Citizen has a titanium band- but it is quite comfortable. The texture on the bottom of the band has a texture that seems to whisk out the sweat and moisture. Just a great time piece so far.

Love this watch! Everything about it says quality! I find it very accurate! This is my second Seiko Divers watch - love the look on the wrist of both. The style of this watch is especially noticeable - you will receive comments from others inquiring about the watch & the manufacturer... Seiko hit a home run with this one!

This watch arrived in a a power beats box, it is dirty, scratched and covered in oil and dirt. If you going to sell a used watch at least clean it first?!

Hooked it up to my timegrapher and it is by far the least accurate watch I own. It is showing -30. But I still love the look of this watch and I shouldn’t get bent out of shape for losing 30 seconds a day.

Incredible watch, works perfectly, seems robust and refined at the same time.A lot of comments on Seiko watch came by with my research saying that the finishing is not always on point.Well in my case, it's perfect. The bezel is aligned, the crown is dead center so I'm very pleased.Things to know:- The bracelet is super incredibly comfortable and soft. (I usually don't like rubber bracelet but this one is very nice)- The watch is darker than I expected and that makes the gold accents pop out more.- The lume is better than I could ever imagine.I love the size. I prefer big watch but not to the point it becomes uncomfortable. This one is perfect. there is something in the length/width ratio that makes it look medium to big size but sits comfortably on the wrist.I have around 7 1/4 inch wrists.I'll probably pimp my watch soon with a dark brown leather bracelet.By the way, the shipping was the best I ever had. I got the watch the next day.

Very sporty looking diver. Big watch but wears well due to short lug to lug. Waffle dial and rocket hands are great combination. Screw down crown feels much higher quality than my SKX. Lume and bezel and chapter ring have perfect alignment. Lume is noticeably better than my SKX. Rubber strap is very comfortable. If you want a black diver under $500 this is the best.

Fantastic Value for a do it all dive watch. Easy to find oyster bracelet that dresses up the watch. Accurate and good lume.
