I hope you know what you're doing if you order this.
This is pretty much the same story as their FIDO hardware key card. The listing shows this with the Cryptnox card reader in the photo. It doesn't come with that, just the card. That means I can't use it. None of my PCs have NFC. It doesn't trigger any NFC response from my Android phone. There appears to be a supporting app for the wallet but for whatever reason they only deemed it worth their time to provide an iOS app so I have no idea how helpful it is.The last insult here is that the product comes with absolutely no documentation or instructions of any kind that I could find and if you go to their web site looking for some guidance you'll leave disappointed as I couldn't find any there either. I am not a crypto bro, but I was curious to set this up and explore that stuff a bit more but I have got absolutely nowhere with this as there is no guidance from Cryptnox. They really need to work on the customer experience with their cards.

Not for your average crypto user. Mobile app only for iOS.
The Cryptnox Hardware Wallet Smartcard is a different take on the cryptocurrency hardware wallet for securing and management your crypto assets. Instead of a device with display and buttons to confirm transactions, the Cryptnox wallet achieves this via the smartcard itself. The smartcard essentially provides the authorization to send from your wallet, but does require a companion app. The Cryptnox is also significantly more affordable than other hardware wallets, with the popular Ledger Nano S and Trezor wallets costing more than 2 times the prices of the Cryptnox. The problem is the Cryptnox Wallet app is only available for iOS and there is no Android app available. While it does support Windows and Linux, it appears to be Python libraries for interfacing with the Cryptnox smartcard via command-line, so this is not for your average user. For enthusiasts and pro development types who want the ability to get into the code to interface with a crypto hardware wallet, the Cryptnox might be a good wallet option but not for anyone else. The main issue I had with the Cryptnox hardware wallet is the lack of documentation to setup and use the wallet. All you get is the smartcard and link to website, no quick start guide, no manual. Once you download the Cryptnox Wallet iOS app, there is no wizard or help of any sort. Initializing the card was at least simple since this communicates with the app via NFC, so you just need to tap the card with your phone. The app prompts for optional name and @ name? Then there are 2 prompts for Digit value (4-9) and Digit values (12 exactly), both with the same Key icon. These I assume are used to generate your private key by seeding it with your input. There are a couple of links to Recover mnemonics and Restore AWS Key, but without documentation I have no clue what these are supposed to do. Other hardware wallets I've used like the Ledger Nano S create the private key and prompts you to save a 24 word recovery password. There is no such process with the Cryptnox. Instead, it's "User Friendly Backup" is to backup secret keys on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using their CloudHSM service. What? How the heck is this a user friendly backup??While I did figure out how to initialize the card and get generate Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet addresses, there is no option to add additional wallets and there doesn't appear to be support for other cryptocurrencies. Before transferring any crypto to these wallets, I tried to remove and reset the card to see if I could recover. However, without knowing the seed words or how to recover from AWS, I ended up re-initializing the card again, which meant I got new wallet addresses. Unless I can figure out how to recover my existing wallets, I don't keep confident is using this Cryptnox hardware wallet to store any of my crypto assets. Cryptnox either needs to provide proper documentation, make the iOS app more intuitive, or provide a different way and more user friendly way to backup your seed. Without that, this hardware wallet is not ready for use by the majority of users and I cannot recommend.

Poor
No instructions on how to use this card. Also, pictures previously showed a card reader which I thought was included with product but looks like now they removed that picture and its not included.

No Instructions
I had to spend a fair amount of time googling this company and looking into how to use this card - there is no instructions or documentation of any kind included. The Android app is supposedly coming soon (per the product description on Amazon) but until then I unfortunately can't use this. They should have included the NFC reader for PC with the card and some documentation about how to use this.
