A Hilarious and Expert View Into Nature
This is the quintessential book for nature lovers, and fans of Shark Week. Yes, there are much more scary things out there than sharks. This is entertaining and informative and builds on the āCasual Geographicā clips from YouTube and Instagram.

Terrific fun, informative book in the style of Casual Geographic
I became completely hooked on Mr Ndiaye's Casual Geographic channel on YouTube quite some time ago. I'm a lifelong animal/biology nut, student, & teacher, and I love his sense of humor on his videos & his clear desire to provide accurate information. I was really thrilled when I saw he had a book coming out and immediately pre-ordered it. For various reasons, I wasn't able to write a review immediately, but here 'tis.If you love Ndiaye's CG vids, you'll love the book. I see that some reviewers are annoyed that the book is so similar in style to his tiktok vids. I had no real conscious expectations, but I would've been real surprised when I got the book if it DIDN'T have Ndiaye's unique, signature style. I loved those parts, and really loved the bit of bio that is included in the book. I may be female, white, & 62, but I swear, Mamadou Ndiaye and I are twins born a few decades apart. He sounds EXACTLY like me, so fascinated by animals from such an early age that it just had to be innate, obsessed with learning about them, teaching about them. I just wish I had such a fantastic wit, too!I've done a great deal of field work in my long & varied biology career, and I would've given anything to have a person of Ndiaye's caliber, wit, & knowledge along on any of my trips. i certainly worked with some truly wonderful people, but Mr Ndiaye is really in a class by himself. I feel better about the future survival of the non-human inhabitants on this planet, knowing that there are young people like this man coming up to fight for them. May he live long and prosper!!So yeah, this review comes from an unabashed fan who has deep respect for this young man!

Bought as a Christmas present for my little brother who loves watching Casual Geographic (the author) on YouTube. Very informative, but also very entertaining.

The Casual Guide To Dangerous Animals
I quickly became addicted to Mamadou's (aka Casual Geographic) wit, style, and hilarious delivery of animal info that we Never received in school. His YouTube vids are an informational treat for the ears and eyes. So of course I wanted to buy his book.Wow, I'm so impressed with the high quality of this book. The pages are glossy, thick, with graphics and printing that are well thought out. It's a smaller sized book that nicely fits into your travel bag. What a great consideration as many of us like to have a book on hand while waiting in public or at a doctor's office. It's a conversation starter which will leave you & anyone you're talking to in stitches with laughter.Well worth the money, and I look forward to a Part 2.

100/10 Read-Now Rating!
Perfect combination of humour and information in a condensed, concise fashion! I learned quite a few more things about animals (but I clearly donāt know more than our walking encyclopedia, Mr. Ndiaye!) His ability to weave information with humour was something that drew me to his videos online initially, this book just continues it!The book, physically, is beautiful. The graphics are high quality, and well laid out, life-size diagrams, and every page is printed on beautifully full-colour, glossy paper!Things I learned include but are not limited to;Tigers can mimic other animal sounds, Kevin Hart is a unit of measurement, and a whole bunch of ways to say ākill.āJust as Mr. Ndiayeeās mind was awakened as a child through educational material about animals, I can easily see how this would open the minds of other young and old minds alike! If this site had a Read-Right-Now rating as the book has a Merk rating for animals, this would easily be a 100/10. Get this book. Now only if we could get Mr. Ndiaye to narrate other nature documentaries, Iād be a happy camper!

a wonderful book
I first started listening to the author on Youtube and thought he was very funny. His descriptions - homicidal barcode (zebra), homicidal oreo guppie ( or something like that, Orca) and so on. I only discovered that he had a book for sale a couple of days ago so IMMEDIATELY bought it, and I'm not at all sorry.Anyone interested in animals ( those who realise animals are not all love, fluffiness and rainbows) will enjoy it.I recommend this book, and the Youtube channel.

I hate this book because it was over too soon.
I hate this book because it was over too soon. I read it all within hours of receiving it, which I haven't done in a long time, it sparked my old childhood love for reading animal books again and was hilarious whilst doing so. It would be a fantastic way for children to learn more about animals.I can see Ndiaye becoming an incredible nonfiction author for this generation, the new age Steve Irwin or David Attenborough for sure.
