This mineral sunscreen is extremely messy and thick. It is just like diaper cream. It’s zinc oxide. If you’re looking for that, it’s fine. But if you’re trying to be reef safe and think this is going to be mineral, and you’re thinking Bare Minerals mineral makeup, this isn’t it. I realize I am the one who didn’t understand, not the company. I want to “warn” people though, because if it’s not what you’re expecting, it’s very frustrating.

Went to the fair, out in the sun and heat for almost 6 hours at peak sun, and used this sunscreen for the first time. I have fair, freckled skin and my face is very sensitive to some sunscreens. I applied to my face, exposed arms, neck and chest. Did not reapply. I came home with no sunburn and only a golden tan. I was a little concerned because I normally use SPF 50 at the beach, but Maui Vera worked just perfect! I will definitely use this product!

The product is all right, not special. The texture is slippery and takes some effort to apply. Once on, it is adequate for me at this time. It is winter and I use it under makeup to provide protection against sun exposure. In summertime with more sun and hotter temperatures I don't know if it will provide enough sun protection. I will use the sunscreen for now but may not buy again. I had a question posted to the seller concerning the expiration date of their product which was not clearly stated, but never received an answer. It was a simple question. There should be better customer service.

Love this product, as well as the After Sun Care. This product despite having minimal and life-affirming ingredient list rubs on smooth and penetrates skin fully without a lot of residue or sweat out. I use every week.

Great sunscreen! Mineral and reef safe are a plus! Super easy to rub in and and no greasy feeling! Must try!
