This book is inspirational and filled with a high emotional intelligence based on experience
Sober on a drunk planet by Sean Alexander is a remarkable book. Shawn opens himself up to his past experiences and describes a new life. I found it very inspirational and motivating and educational as someone who is six months sober. I could not put this book down. thank you Sean for sharing.

Wow…I think I finally understand
So insightful to a guy (me) who has thought about all the things mentioned in this book at one time or another, but as the author states, I just kept repeating the cycle. What really hit home with me was it’s actually not all my fault. It’s a cultural thing we are all immersed in and told is “normal.” Also amazing, is how short and to the point this is. It’s a quick read but powerful and totally on point none the less. Thank you for writing it Sean!

Not that helpful
This is the telling of tales of the author's binges while drinking virtually every night....in bars, clubs and at home or a "friend's" (as in met him/her that night!) house. It's a sad tale but does end with happier vibes as the author finds sobriety. He does include lots of references to support his claims to statistical data, recommendations, etc. His strong message is to find happiness through a sober lifestyle but

“Insanity is Repeating the Same Behavior and Expecting Different Results.”
I am very happy that I purchased this book. This author has walked the walk, sought help, did his homework, and changed his life. His ability to tell the story of how he changed his health, appearance, personality, relationships, mindfulness, and financial health is inspiring and brings hope to those looking for a way out of a vicious cycle in search of happiness. This is a fantastic book that is designed to help others open their eyes to the source of their personal hell and break the cycle of getting drunk every night and spending most of the time trying to recover from the poison affecting their mind, body, and spirit only to repeat the that behavioral pattern associated with addiction. This is a convincing, short, well-written, intriguing, self-help book that has made me realize that stopping a negative behavior pattern is giving up excuses, shame, physical, mental, and spiritual ailments in favor of an energetic, productive, and tranquil life style..Thank you Sean, for sharing your experiences and for helping others clearly see that excessive alcohol consumption and addiction negatively impacts behavior, life, and happiness worldwide.I recommend this spellbinding self-help book to family, friends, and others looking for the truth and help out of their hellish overindulgent predicament.

This book has really helped me quit alcohol, it's a really good read
This was an incredible read and a lot of what the book is about is what i went through with drinking and it has really helped me get over my addiction. It really puts things into perspective from why i was drinking and how you don't need it. You will not only see life in a different way but get more out of life and enjoy it a lot more when you are not going through the hang overs and being sick. I can't wait to start book number 2. Sean Alexander is a really good writer and it was hard to put the book down.

Insightful and easy to read
I really enjoyed this book. It felt as though Sean was an old friend guiding me through the benefits of giving up alcohol, but in a non-judgmental way.

A must-read for anyone at any age alive on this drunk planet!
The content of this book may well have been written for me and all the friends I’ve had over the years, all the places I’ve worked, in finance and F&B…as someone who recently lost her older sister to the dark side of alcohol, and who also has struggled years with alcohol misuse, I’m so glad to have found a book that genuinely speaks to me. Found this book well written, easy to read and with no wasted meandering. This book spells out the world we live in, the drinking culture, the normalizing of something so abnormal…read it and sober up with pride.
