These placemats are well made. Nice size, and very durable. They look great on my table.

Love the look, simple but classy!

I bought a solid wood table so I decided to get a set of placemats to protect it. These are nice and thick and match my decor. Several reviews have mentioned the larger than average size. This is true when they arrive, but be prepared that they will shrink in the wash. I washed mine in warm water (I know the instructions say cold but that’s not going to remove food stains) and line dried them. I could tell just by looking at them when they came out of the wash that they had shrunk. See my photo- the top placemat is brand new never used and the bottom is washed and line dried (not ironed yet). It’s clearly an inch or two shorter in width. I expected them to shrink based on the fabric. I just hope they don’t continue to shrink. BTW, there was a tiny spaghetti sauce stain on one placemat and it came right out in the wash!

Pretty but washed when received and it shrunk and edges twisted and curled up. Looks awful.

Country Maison Place Mats (5 Stars)We purchased this Country Maison Place Mat set due to them being 100% cotton as well for the color. It is hard to find place mats with a true red, not a Christmas red.When the placements arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the size: 19” x 15”. This works well on our large table, but think about that size if you have a small table. I appreciate that the mats are machine washable and dry-able. So many place mats these days are 'spot clean only'.I would characterize these as best for casual, everyday use. The price point is attractive and the Country Maison set seems well constructed and well worth the price we paid. Glad we got'em!

These Country Maison place mats are well made. I like that they are 100% cotton. The design is simple ( I always like stripes) and the red and white colors will go well with some new corelle dishes I got not too long ago.
