Does not switch automatically as advertised
The setup was easy and the software was easy to install, but the switch has to be switched manually. It does not automatically switch between two computers as advertised, which is the reason I purchased it. This which has to be changed manually either way by pushing the button on the device or a hot key on the computer.

Perfect solution to the 2-Laptop 1-dock 2-monitor problem
I have two laptops and two monitors and one docking station. My two monitors are connected to my docking station. Switching laptop cement physically switching the input cable from my docking station between laptops. With this switch, I was able to route the input cable from my docking station to the switch and then run a cable to each of my laptops so that all I have to do is select number one or number two on the switch. Super clean super easy super awesome! The device comes with software and I didn't need any of it. Does not require power either. All I had to do was attached to my docking station and run two cables from it to the two laptops.

Simple and it works
Works well to switch keyboard and mouse between desktop and work laptop. You don't have to always have two host computers on and connected for the switch to function.I did have to put some gaff tape over the buttons, the blue led light is very bright and will illuminate a small room at night.

EDIT: TrippLite responded. Thanks :) [original] It works, if the buttons don't get stuck
There was an issue with a certain batch, where the buttons would get stuck with the holes. That's easily fixed is you place a tiny washer on the board inside to raise the board. We had another batch where that wasn't an issue, so I think they fixed it. I hope they fixed it; or was it a new issue? I don't know.Other than that, it works great! 3-stars for product inconsistency due to the buttons. But if they clear it up with a response that they were aware and fixed it, then I'll change it to 5.EDIT: Tripplite responded in kind. Thanks.

The switch works well. Trouble was the installation CD ...
The switch works well. Trouble was the installation CD that came with it didn't work for my Win 7 Pro which the product specs said it would. I downloaded from the manufacture's site the install program there. Then I had to go get WinZip to unpack it and install it. It was not self installing. This process was necessary for the two computers I wished to use with the switch. The other trouble is that I can't find a way to get the control permanently visible in the task bar: it only appears when its necessary. I'd prefer seeing it always and knowing where it lives.

Manual, not automatic
Definately not automatic whether sending prints to the printer or connecting the scanner to the computer. That said, the manual switch works perfectly.

USB Print Switch
This is used in a professional (rental) audio visual environment. We need to share a printer with up to four laptops and cannot install software on the computers. This of course mandates Windows XP minimum and that the shared printer appear in that OS. This is the ONLY application we have used for the device. Not perfect because it doesn't auto switch, but we've never found a USB switch that does (the older Centronics switches did). Still, all things considered, the hot key toggle (enabled with NO software install) is a good compromise, you do not need an external power supply (important), the unit works well and it's as good as any device for the purpose we've found...

Buen dispositivo a buen precio.
Excelente funcionamiento con una hp laserjet entre un pc y una laptop , lo único es que se drecciona siempre al puerto 2 , ahí conecté la computadora que más utilizo.
