Does the plastic sheath hold the knife in waves?

I'd say it'd do a pretty good job of it. The fit is snug... not enough to prevent a pretty fluid draw, but snug enough to keep the knife secure until you're ready to deploy it intentionally.

How long are the straps? Can they fit around my leg?

Just under 20", the elastic straps stretch to about 36" though they would probably fit very tight if stretched to 36"

How does the paracord hold up with the waves and in and out of water?

The cord on the handle is still in good shapes and I dive in mercy ocean water in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn. The nice thing about it is when it where’s out it’s an inexpensive repair.
