The man who changed the course of Indian cinema.
The Mithun who gave hope to millions to dream big and achieve it.The First ever Rock Star of India. The man who changed the course of Indian cinema, the who lived many life in one life. The man has many faces. There are many superstars but no one like him.Indeed biography was needed.Hence Kudos to Mr. Mukherjee who decoded the life of legend to some extent. He deserves the 5 stars. The books has many positives with some negatives which could have been avoided. For example wrong name of movies in the photo section, wrong mention of national award for best supported actor for Agneepath, age of Dada is 73 today etc.All the small mistakes could be sorted out in next edition. One last thing is pages size of the book.Dada deserves the biography in details. The books is only of summarized account of his life. But I think it's not author fault. This can be because of the legend himself who was not ready to share his life.Hence the writer needs the more and more applaud for the task.I thank him from the bottom of my heart for the book which I completed in single reading.

The story of the Disco Dancer of Indian cinema
The book is the first English language biography of legendary superstar Mithun Chakraborty. It follows Guru’s journey from Kolkata - Pune - Bombay - Ooty. Includes trivia’s & rare photographs of Mithun from the 80’s & 90’s. Although some incorrect information has been published (Eg. Hain Mubarak Aaj Ka Din was sung by Hariharan & not Udit Narayan... then the pictures has incorrect detailing - 1st picture with Sridevi is from Waqt Ki Awaz and not Guru, picture with Rekha is from Ladaai and not Jaal, another still is from the movie Dost and not Parivaar, still with Danny Denzongpa is from the movie Shandaar & not Andha Kanoon). I hope in the next edition the necessary corrections will be done. Most of the details mentioned here were known to me as a Mithun fan but still I could find some unknown fact which was quite cool. Would have been great if more trivia regarding his box office magic run during the 80’s were mentioned. Overall a good read for any Mithun or Hindi movie fan. Koi Shaq? 😎

Authentic
Nothing to dislike in this book apart from the fact that This book should have had more photographs related to Mithun da's struggling and younger days. Real photographs instead of only mostly film shooting stock shots. However, the book is well written, and Mithun da's life emerges in flesh and blood through the pages undoubtedly.
