Versatile Kitchen MVP: Hamilton Beach Electric Vegetable Chopper
I’m thrilled with the Hamilton Beach Electric Vegetable Chopper and happily give it five stars for its versatility and performance! This compact powerhouse has become a staple in my kitchen, excelling not only as a vegetable chopper but also as a blender for certain tasks. It makes quick work of chopping onions, peppers, and carrots with precision, delivering uniform pieces in seconds—perfect for meal prep or soups.I’ve also used it as a blender for shakes, and it’s fantastic! The pulse function blends ingredients like frozen berries, yogurt, and protein powder into smooth, creamy shakes without overprocessing. It’s a game-changer for quick breakfasts or post-workout drinks. However, I found it’s not ideal for blending soft fruits and vegetables like tomatoes for salsa, as it tends to overblend and make the mixture too watery. For chunkier textures, I stick to manual chopping or adjust my expectations. The chopper is easy to use, with a simple one-touch operation, and cleanup is a breeze thanks to the dishwasher-safe parts. The compact size fits perfectly in my small kitchen, and the sturdy build feels reliable for daily use. For anyone looking for a multi-tasking kitchen gadget that shines at chopping and blending (with some limitations for watery ingredients), this Hamilton Beach chopper is a must-have. Five stars for its convenience and versatility!

A wonderful time saving tool at a decent price. Highly recommend
I replaced a Black & Decker chopper with this unit. It's bigger but designed pretty much the same way. It's easy to clean, doesn't take much counter space, an will chop up most anything you need chopped, including your mother-in-law's flapping tongue. (just kidding)I've always loved the Hamilton Beach brand. But. It used to be an American brand and was of a high standard of quality many decades ago. Not anymore. It is now a Chinese brand. Manufactured exclusively in China. With typical Chinese quality control. I have a Hamilton Beach coffee maker, toaster and this chopper in my kitchen. The coffee maker and the chopper are both wonderful. But the toaster is weird. It won't toast properly unless you preheat it first, that is, it will over brown 9ne side and not toast the other side unless you preheat it. But this about the chopper, the blades are strong stainless steel, and it has four rubber suction cups on the bottom to stay put while using it so it won't wander around on a slippery counter top. Make sure you cut up your product into small enough pieces the chopper can process and you'll end up with a nice end product. Merely use brief "pulsing" touches on the top cover, checking visually on your procduct. This will prevent over processed food.

There are very good reasons why this appliance is on Amazon's Choice list.
All around wonderfully designed and very nicely made, i do not know where to begin in describing how practical and useful this appliance would be. It is home kitchen size, not large, and although it is described as having a 3-cup chopping bowl, in practice this chopper was actually designed to chop up to 1 1/2-cups of carrots or onions, etc., carrots sliced into about 1-inch lengths or onions sliced into about 1-inch cubes, for instance, which makes sense because the chopping process inside this appliance needs to have enough overhead free space to flip and overturn what is being chopped in order to regulate the uniformity of the chopping, to not produce a mixture of both finely minced and uncut carrots or onions, etc., and its operator's instruction page includes some useful tips on how to use this chopper. This chopper is about all of what a single person, a couple or a small family could need and if you hit the limit of what a single 1 1/2-cup chopping can produce, then simply cut up some more, put it in the chopper and produce more, in other words it is possible for this chopper to satisfy you, you two, you few, you several and more. It is said fruits and veggies are more nutritious when eaten raw, uncooked, but who wants to chew on chunks of raw carrots or raw onions in their salad? But now, this chopper can reduce those chunks into tasty little, easy to chew, flavorful tidbits. And for those who appreciate what a Chinese wok can do, cook your rice in the wok then put the cooked rice into a bowl at the side of the stove, then cook or sauté your fruits, meats, veggies, or whatever, before putting the rice back into the hot wok along with just enough cooking oil to make everything just a little bit slick and slippery, then, at the last minute, once everything has been cooked, flipped over and mixed up, this is the time to add additional flavorings, seasonings and spices, including finely chopped onion, etc., before giving everything in the wok a quick, mix it up, final flip-over. That same method can successfully be used in any Eastern or Western cookpan or cookpot but Chinese wok design is particularly good at that. Lodge of Tennessee, USA, makes cast iron woks, 12-inch useful, 14-inch even better. Cast iron and carbon steel woks break-in or season in about the same way, scrub them clean in kitchen sink water, but use NO soap or detergent, then put them on a low heat stove to thoroughly dry them, and when cooled down lightly coat their insides with cooking oil. Anyway, this little chopper is very useful, much better and easier than doing such fine slicing by hand, recommended!

Sturdy, Water-Resistant Blender with Great Build
I’ve been using this for over a month now and I’m fully satisfied with it. The build quality is impressive, especially how well it maintains water resistance during operation. I also appreciate the long shaft design, which is a significant improvement over the shorter shafts in most blenders that tend to wear out faster due to torsion stress. My two complaints are that the blades are more suited for chopping and mincing, they don’t make smooth pastes as well. I previously used a Magic Bullet, which created finer pastes but was noisy and wore out quickly. I wish there were alternative blade options for this model. Another complaint is that the wire is too short. That said, I’m happy with the product overall and, judging by its design, I believe it will be durable and long-lasting.
