I only gave 4 stars because I haven't used it yet. I bought it to use at the beach, per the video I watched. The video showed how sand sticks to a terrycloth towel, but shakes right off of the Turkish towel. In the meantime, I have it draped over a chair and it's beautiful to behold every time I enter the room. I could also use it as a shawl. It's the perfect size for that, as well.

I use this as a shawl and it’s great as a beach towel. I have even used it as a tablecloth. Beautiful!

I use my wonderful red peshtemal for a rather unusual purpose. My Dearest Husband is a very warm sleeper. I, on the other hand, or foot as it is, get very cold when I sleep, especially my tootsey toes, footsies, and even lower legs. Having Reynaud's is the primary cause of my discomfort. I battled over extra bedding layers with my DH for years. He would typically toss all of his side of the upper bedding stack over on me. I get cold, but not that cold! So, peshtamal to the rescue. Ta DA! I use the lovely width of woven cotton fabric as a lightweight sheet-blanket. It is the perfect width, length, and weight, and my DH no longer tosses extra layers of bed linens on my side of the bed because they are not needed and no longer on the bed. When cold weather arrives, the peshtamal will be layered under a blanket to add the extra warmth my feet and legs with spastic circulation need to stay comfy. The peshtamal washes and dries perfectly: the colors never bleed, and it leaves no lint or strings behind. It would, I am sure, also serve as a lovely towel or wrap; but it serves me perfectly as my own personal skinny mini blanket.

It's a beach blanket/ bath towel. You're supposed to bring it to the beach and look cute and pretty. I was hoping for something thicker that could be used as a towel in your bathroom. Nope... too thin. Buy this if you are looking for a light weight beach blanket - not a bath towel.P.S. It is beautiful. It is well made. It's just not as thick and absorbent like a towel.

Very light weight, and no problems washing in cold water. I've let it air dry and dried on permanent press once with fabric softener to make it a little more soft than it comes out when dried in the fresh air. I use them inside over our recliner backs. The cat likes to perch and I like a cover of some sort for his claws to dig into instead of the furniture. I could see how they would be nice for travel to pools too, but I'm past that stage of my life. I wish they came with soft elastic attached to where you could secure them over your chair. I tried the rubber bands and they were too tight to suit me. I think they would rub too much so I just fling them over the top and give the cat and dog their comfy throw blanket on the seat.

I use this as an everyday shower towel, and I’m hooked. It’s gorgeous, incredibly soft & absorbent and it washes really well too.It didn’t take long for my husband to get jealous and ask for his own!
