Dragon Ball: Complete Collection Movie 4 Pack

I love this pack. All four Dragon Ball movies in good quality for how old they are. My only caution is that the dubs are all over the place. Movie 1’s dub was made in 2010 by the “Kai” cast of actors so you have one of the only instances of Colleen Clinkenbeard as young Goku. Monica Rial is Bulma, big name actress Cherami Leigh features in it as well. The acting is good, but the script is very out of date and inaccurate. Then, the dub for movie 2 jumps way back to, like, 1996 and not only is the acting terrible, but the audio itself sounds bad, like Funimation didn’t have good equipment period. Dubs for movies 3 and 4 are okay and on par with the dubs of the Dragon Ball show. Not that you should ever watch the dubs, of course, outside of nostalgia or “so bad it’s good” enjoyment. None of these movies bring much new to the table, so I think only hardcore DB fans (myself included) will get much out of it. Movie 3 is probably the most interesting in terms of plot, and Movie 4 (Path to Power) is the most artistically beautiful

Great Product at a very good Price. The voice actors are the originals, as in the movies were not re-recorded with Funimation's current DBZ crew as the Dragon Ball series DVD release was. You do not need to be fluent or even that familiar with the series in order to watch and thoroughly enjoy this Collection... Each movie introduces the characters and situations very well, in fact there are many scenes that are nearly direct copies from the series as far as the introductions go. You could basically look at these 4 movies as a summation of the entire series of Dragon Ball up until the Piccalo/Picc Jr sagas. So if you are a DBZ fan, but never watched Dragon Ball and want to know how everybody met and the origins of the characters but don't want to put in 150+ episodes to do so, this 4-Movie Set is the perfect replacement to pretty much sum-up what is "Dragon Ball" if that makes sense.

Quite different compared to the original VHS tape. Voices are different, words changed. Good overall but if you've seen the VHS versions from years ago. That may bug you like it did me. If not than nothing to worry about.

Every movie is displayed perfectly in 4:3. Although I personally don't like the movies as much as the DBZ movies, this is a must for any true fan of the series. I would watch the whole Dragon Ball series first before watching this because the movies contain spoilers. Its hard to explain but you'll understand once you watch these movies. All in all the movie pack is great and is sold at a good price. I've heard people complain about the second movie having problems but I personally didn't see the problem. I thought every movie was pristine in quality. Happy watching!

Got this to go with my collection, it's too bad each of the movies is only 40 minutes in length.

Always brilliant when you receive something new to watch.

Great set of movies for a great price. Arrived as advertised and all disks work. The movies might turn some people off because some retell the begining of the story of the show but they are all pretty good, some better than others.
