Masterwork Classics Level 4

I was glad to learn more about the Polish occupation; that part was gripping. However, the Catherine Lockhart character was not fleshed out well, and the Ben Solomon character was pretty unlikeable, at least to me. Honestly, his own impatience and hubris helped facilitate the deaths of his family members. And he didn't come across as lovable or even likable in the latter-day parts. He was just pushy. And I would have enjoyed the tale of WWII times better as a straight narrative rather than through dialogue. Most of the dialogue was clunky. Finally, the story sort-of-kind-of built to a climax, but the ending was pretty rushed.Bottom line: I liked the story but didn't love the writing itself, or the characters.

Good quality. Good music. Just what the piano teacher wanted.

These books are a great resource of classical music literature. The series ranges from beginners to more advanced students. Great for the piano teacher or self motivated student. Each book comes with a CD of the music to speed learning. (Level 4) We love them in our house!

It's an excellent selection of material to learn from. Follow the suggested order of study because the book itself is chronological and some early pieces are very hard.

This a series that I treasure. The arrangements are very good and the CD in the back give me an idea of how each piece should sound.

This is an excellent book because it teaches pupils history as well as learning repertoire. I also like the bigger print in Alfred's publications
