Best shampoo for my white hair......

Unfortunately it dried out my hair - my stylist wanted me to get a blue shampoo so I opted for this instead of one that they had available at the salon and it dried out my hair to the point where I probably don’t want to keep using it. Full disclosure though I do get a perm every six months for body and I get bleach highlights. I normally use a brand that’s only meant for curly hair that has no sulfites in it, it’s kind of like a lotion shampoo and conditioner and I never use any heat products such as irons or blow dryers. I let it naturally dry. Someone was natural hair that wants to take the brass out or maybe someone that just highlights it every once in a while this might be perfect for a bit for me I wasn’t extremely excited. The scent is really subtle and doesn’t make your hair smell good afterwards. Which could be good because a lot of people are sensitive to scents like I am.

I have blonde-highlighted hair and use purple shampoo at least once a week. Occasionally, I also use purple conditioner. I tried both the PurePlex purple shampoo and conditioner together. All in all, I'm very happy and think that the current price ($9.99 for the shampoo) is very reasonable given the effectiveness and quality of the shampoo.The shampoo is a thin texture, which I did not expect. I did not notice any scent. The color is the same deep purple as most purple shampoos. The shampoo spread evenly in my hair, and was easy to rinse clean (from my hair, and white shower tiles). My hair felt clean after using this shampoo, but did not feel stripped, which is perfect. Paired with the coordinating conditioner, I was thrilled with the results which showed an obvious toning down of the brassiness in my blonde while at the same time, my hair felt and look well-conditioned. I would repurchase this purple duo.

If this had been the first purple shampoo I had tried, I probably would like it more. It smells fine, color is a dark violet and it does neutralize brassiness though it takes at least 2 uses to notice a difference.Unlike my go-to brand, which starts with an "L" and ends with an "Oreal" the instructions say to apply this to damp, not wet hair. Maybe that is why it seems to be so much more drying than my normal purple shampoo. My hair felt "squeaky" and totally stripped and unhealthy even right after rinsing. I followed the shampoo with the PurePlex Conditioner, and while it helped a little, my hair still felt brittle and too dry. I also can't use this in the shower like my other brand because it stains skin and fingernails much more noticeably, so I have to wash my hair in the sink if I don't want to look like Barney the purple dinosaur.I'm going to stick with my usual brand which works better for my hair and is slightly less expensive, but I'm giving the product 4 stars anyway because it does what it says, which is tone down the yellow in hair. It's not the best, but it does work.

This shampoo cleaned my hair and scalp well. Toned my hair nicely. I followed with the same brand and type of toning conditioner. My hair was soft and shiny. No more orange either.

It is quite drying and burns the scalp.

This shampoo definitely pulls out yellow tones in first use! I’ve always used other brands that seem to take forever to show results which can be frustrating when you want immediate results. BUT NOW THAT I’VE USED IT SEVERAL MONTHS(I came back to change my good review to bad) IT’S CAUSING MY HAIR TO BREAK OFF AND NOW I HAVE A BUNCH OF SHORT HAIRS FROM BREAKAGE. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! MY HAIR IS EXTREMELY DAMAGED AND DRIED OUT FROM THIS SHAMPOO.
