Bought this for my daughter and friend who are working on a soap project for their school. Very easy to melt in the microwave for 30 to 40 seconds. Smells amazing, and the leaves your skin moisturized. It does work well with soap dyes, and essential oils.

Great soap product! Great softness in the feel of the soap; took dye well and worked great in every mold. Easy to cut up for melting.

I keep this product on my subscription plan because it makes beautiful soaps with a great quality. The soap is a great value and a smooth texture. It takes different colors and scents very well. Very easy to use. Will continue to buy and use this product.

Very nice soap and molded perfectly for my project

I like how the Shea butter comes pre-cut , I don't have to do any cutting from a block. It melts quickly once it heats up, so constant stirring is needed. It pours smoothly into the mold and levels nicely. It lathers with just the amount suds that I like. There's a generous amount of cubes in the bag and I have enough to make my second batch. There's nothing I dislike about this Shea butter.

I love this base. Soap lathers beautifully and leaves skin nourished. Little sticky to deal with but, that’s par for the course with soap making. No obnoxious smell. Wish the blocks were cut smaller. It’s a pain getting through it. However end result is truly amazing so.. 5 star worthy.

Edited 2/16/23: Forgot to update this XP oops. But I did test out the new recipe they sent me and I wasn't a fan. bubbling was slightly better which was nice, but it left my skin feeling like it had a drying film over it- a huge nope for me in soap. I gave them constructive and honest feedback based on my experiments and experience from myself and immediate family using this new formula. we all felt it was drying and filmy. a huge bummer, since i loved velona before the recipe change. I declined their generous offer to send me a 10lb block to replace the old one i initially ordered. You can tell velona genuinely cares about their product and their customer base. until they nail this recipe again, i personally don't recommend this soap for now. much love to them still though. Edited 12/8/22: Velona reached out to me and explained they'd recently changed their recipe. this changed recipe is what i received when i first posted my complaint in the original review. after getting some feedback, they changed their formula again and offered to send me a 2lb bar free of charge for me to test and determine if I liked the new rendition. in the event i did, they offered to replace the 10lb of soap i ordered last with 10lbs of soap from their newest recipe. I received the 2lb bar today and will update once I've had a chance to use it. so far, unfortunately, it still has the same odor I initially complained about. I'll still test the newest version and see how it behaves in contrast to the last order i received, and the "original" recipe I had become accustomed to 3 or 4 orders before this one. Even if it turns out I don't like the product and need to switch brands, I still have to give props to their customer service. I honestly didn't think that there was anyone behind the product who cared (as is usually the case with products on amazon, I find), but I was pleasantly surprised. If nothing else, I'm grateful to the team for trying and being so willing to try and make it right. Original Review: I bought this soap 4 or 5 times before and it was perfect. people loved the results and i got a lot of compliments out of what i did with the soap base, but my last order was really weird and i cant figure out how to reach the seller. the smell was strong and weird whereas normally there's just a very mild clean smell. These 5 lb bricks smell like old crayons or clay and just plain stinks. the expiration date isn't until may of 2024, so it shouldn't be rancid. i used half a 5lb loaf to see if adding fragrance oil masked the smell. No, it does not. this sucks. i really liked this brand :(
