Never used one of these before but found it easy to set up and use. Very useful for encapsulating documents, photos, etc. Great bit of kit at a decent price.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I liked the price so thought why not. This works flawlessly and has laminated documents for me I used Apex laminating film and this laminator worked well with it. Highly recommended.

This is a very good machine, it does what it says, but I have one minor quibble, lining up the pouch would be improved if there were adjustable guides, like you get on a printer, to ensure the pouch is fed in squarely. The finished product doesn’t get too hot and can be handled comfortably. The instruction booklet is pretty hopeless, it doesn’t actually tell you how to laminate. The paper cutter and corner trimmer are excellent and very useful. You get a good supply of A4 pouches. Laminating doesn’t take long, there are no annoying beeps, and the blue light lets you know when the unit is ready to use. Would I recommend it? For light home use then absolutely yes, but for more intense classroom, crafting, or office use I would want a feed tray and a receptacle on the back for finished laminations. I can and will fabricate something to catch the output, making something to feed pouches in correctly more problematic.Update: I’ve worked my way through the laminating pouches that came with the laminator, and I’m delighted, I’ve used to to great effect: laminating regularly used recipe cards; things for the shop where I volunteer have been really helpful; making signs for the door so no hastily scribbled notes, but a nicely made crystal clear card; some fun April Fools signs for a found velociraptor; helpful checklists as my memory is sometimes a bit off as I get older; and some really useful index cards. My crowning glory was a one off limited edition 2022 calendar, featuring photos of my cat, for a Croatian friend, she absolutely adores my cat, cats in general, the calendar resulted in tears of happiness, and hours of pleasant diversion for me. So, after all this use we see I’ve had great results, I stand by my original positive comments.What about the negatives? You must be careful not to obstruct the output, othersise you can introduce bends to the output that don’t ease off. My original comment about feed guides have proven to be the major long term issue, an upgrade to introduce them to later models really is a necessity. You must carefully align the laminating pouch otherwise it goes awry very quickly.Overall after prolonged use I’m delighted with the laminator, for light home use, craft use, it remains an ideal solution. For heavier use, say in teaching, heavy office use, then going for a machine with guide rails, an output tray, is a necessity.

Does a good job laminating A4 pages and is easy to use, well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Worked very well straight out the box, with several different sized pouches. Be patient to await it to be ready. Have now ordered some more pouches as I have lots more to laminate.
