Great porch swing - terrible directions!
This is a very comfortable, well designed, well built swing. It comes with all necessary hardware, including chains and springs. Some assembly required. As good as this product is, the directions to assemble are terrible! Seriously Kilmer Creek, couldn't you put a few more minutes into a set of directions that don't look like they were translated from another language! Really! Your product is top notch, but the crummy copy of a copy looks like you put about 10 minutes of thought into it. Assembly is just putting the arms on the the back on, but the hardware consists of two very similar sizes of nuts, two sizes of washers, and three different sizes of bolts, all mixed together in one bag. And it makes a huge difference where each goes, as my teenage son and I discovered as we put it together and had to take out and move around several bolts that are slightly different in size - not fun!Kilmer Creek! This is a great porch swing! You can do better with the directions!! Here are a couple things that might help as you redraft the current assembly directions: [...] [...]I would give the swing a solid five stars, and do recommend highly, but the directions get 0 stars, so the total package is 4 stars.

Beautiful craftmanship!
This is a very nice, heavy, well constructed wooden swing. Purchased to replace a 20-year old locally bought porch swing that has had every wood piece replaced at least twice. Not disappointed in this product! It is sturdy enough to hold the two of us and our medium dog, about 350 pounds total, with no bowing or creaking despite the wood slat design. The color is beautiful, does not even look like it is finished. Only issue is the chain attachment to the upright portion is somewhat awkward and tends to cramp your shoulder when sitting at the edge (sharing the swing). I would suggest an improved attachment method at this location, perhaps with eyebolts extending outwards? Otherwise a beautiful product, hoping to have years of enjoyment with!

4' Cedar Swing Bench w/ stained finish, Amish Crafted
About 20 years ago our tree trimmer fastened and stabilized a couple of heavy linked chains at over 30 feet from the ground in our front yard's tall and mature California Sycamore trees. A five foot long wooden bench swing was attached and was the pleasure of our family, children, neighbor kids and then our grandchildren. We had to replace it 2-3 months ago and found this 4' swing on Amazon. Assembly was reasonably simple, but I still had to back up a few steps a couple of times to get it right. We purchased the Century 4002 Spring set. It took a little figuring to get the correct attachments to the existing swing chains, using thick S-links and leveling the seat. The extra springs seem sturdier and allow more "give" or spring bounce, than the provided springs. The chains which came with the bench kit were more than adequate. My 4 year old granddaughter had to be limited to 10-15 minutes a day of high swinging to save grandpa's back. She was thrilled and loved it! It is sturdy, with a nice redwood-like stain which is fairly water repellant. It should be re-sealed/stained at least once a year. It's a winner in my experience.

Kilmer Creek 4' Swing
I was worried about ordering wood patio furniture online and having it delivered through UPS to my house. Surprisingly it all arrived in good shape and had no broken pieces. The swing itself is not very heavy which also surprised me. It looks good though and we put it to the test this past weekend. At one time we placed over 360 lbs on it without issue. I am not sure exactly how much it is rated for, but it will work perfectly for us. If I have a complaint, it would be that I wish the chain was slightly longer as the chain was about 6 inches short of putting the swing exactly where it needed to be based on my patio ceiling height. These are my first impressions and I do not know how well the swing will hold up over time at this point.

Stained Cedar Porch Swing
Actually, it is too soon to give a functional review until a year or so of use, however, I offer the following :--Timely delivery and notice.--A little tricky lining up some of the bolt connection holes on the wood parts...--The wood stain was sprayed on a little light for for my tastes, so I plan to use my own finish as it is used outdoors with no cover..--My biggest concern centered on one the arm brackets which was split at one end, I guess I will put a metal strap around same and glue...Aside from that, it looks good and is comfortable for a wood swing without a cushion...Proof will be in the eating of the pudding...

Double the fun...
We bought two of these swings for our backyard pergola. We also paid the extra to have them finished before they shipped. Both swings arrived in less than a week and in perfect condition. Each swing only had four wooden sections (back, seat, left and right arms rests), plus hardware (chains, springs, bolts, nuts, washers). It took about 45 minutes to assemble the first one (yes, read the directions carefully - that 1/4 inch difference in bolt lengths makes a difference). The hardest part was joining the chain to the back of the armrest. It's a tight fit, but doable. The second swing went together in less than 20 minutes. They look really nice under the pergola. We are very pleased.

Will probably by another.
We built a very nice custom play set for our grand children in our back yard. We enlarged the swing set module enough to include a porch swing for us old timers. This was a great choice. It is very pretty and comfortable. My oldest grand daughter even asked me to come sit on it with her.Since i am a life time construction person I was really impressed with how all the parts fit together. Everything lined up exactly. It appears that we will get one for our front porch, only the longer model.Oh, I weigh in at 360 lb. and if felt very solid under me.

Swing
Love the swing. It came in 4 pieces with all necessary parts. You will need to buy/have the ceiling rings to hang it from. It took 2 of us about 90 minutes to put together and hang. The hardest part was putting a bolt through 3 pieces of wood. Used a flashlight to see the holes.
