ECM motor savers.
ECM motors replacement cost, $375 -$450 and this part is a couple bucks...It's an overload, and it can be crimped on, or soldered on old terminals after failed one is removed...It's a common fault with ECM motor's and this puts them, back in service.,,,Saved a bundle.

Works - saved me $2000
Bought this September 2022 and it's still going strong. HVAC guy told me I had to replace my whole unit. He showed me the inside of the fan motor and said this got fried. Didn't tell me I could just solder on a new one, conveniently left that out. I looked at it and thought why can't I just replace that part. Found this listing, read reviews of similar situations and gave it a shot. still going strong!

Saved me $800
Had an HVAC tech quote me over $800 to replace a GE ECM. Decided to hold off and investigate myself. Works like a charm. Thank you to all the people who came before me for writing theses reviews so I knew I was on the right track!

ECM motor voltage limiter for 1/2 and 3/4 blower motors
I bought these for A freq drive for a 1/2 horse power ECM motor Or motor driver, it is the part that bolts to the back of the motor in a lot of air handlers and it controls fan speed. When home have voltage spikes this part burns out to protect motor. It sits right in the middle of the cuircut board once opened up. It is easily removed and replaced if u are capable of handling a solder iron.

Just what you need
If your are like me and have an HVAC system that has an ECM Gentec blower motor, you may find your thermister has popped. You could spend a lot of money buying a new ECM motor and getting it programmed, or buy one of these and solder it in for pennies on the dollar.Got my AC back up and running!

Good repair for most x13 ecm modules on those motors according to You Tube, not mine.
Good repair for most x13 ecm modules on those motors according to You Tube, but not mine. I am convinced this is a great value attempt at fixing an expensive ecm x13 hvac motor but in my case it just did not work. I am familiar with some of the credible youtuber's that demo doing this with a high % of success and I believer it is a good first try. Requires clipping the old one out and soldering the new one in to the stubby legs left behind. quite simple.

So far so good.
This little thermistor is working great so far. It saved me $1267.00. It bothers me that AC companies tell you that it’s going to cost $1267.00 to replace a blower motor in an air handler when the motor is working fine and the controller module only has a $6 part in it that failed. Anyone with some minor experience in soldering can replace this item. I even considered buying a new AC unit ($6000) due to its age. Hopefully I’ll get a couple more years out of this one. Fingers crossed.
