It came a bit dented (the basket) but was easily bent back. I don't know if that was reason, but we couldn't get the basket end prongs to fit inside the black rubber as shown (no directions) to secure it. The strap would not have been able to fit with it on, so we removed the black rubber around the end, wrapped the pole end with duct tape, and were then able to easily fit the basket end around the pole and secure with the strap. Maybe that was the intention of the design all along? We successfully picked grapefruit and lemons with that design. We added another metal strap for added security but don't think we really needed. I think it will work great for us!

I love the extension of this pole, however the thumb screw for tightening the basket on the pole is hard to use and it slips off.

Easy to grab oranges to far to reach. Like the construction! The pole is made of metal which extends and locks with a twist. Walmart sell the same item at the same price but Amazon delivers.

As other reviewers said, there is a little "McGiverism" required to assemble the basket onto the pole. I ended up buying 2 better clamps than the one provided, and supplementing that with a screw and nuts. After making these improvements, the product works extremely well. However, the product sellers should really fix this design flaw since some people might just get frustrated by this and throw away or return the product.

No instructions provided. You must use a nail, roughly 6 to 8 penny, through the basket end of the pole to secure the basket. Run the nail between the screw clamp and the wire just above the clamp. Then duct tape two or three wraps around the nail to hold it in place. A second screw clamp would fasten the basket more securely, in my opinion.

IT IS VERY WELL MADE. ALSO AN IMPORTANT FEATURE: IT DID NOT DAMAGE THE FRUIT AT ALL. I HAD A PROBLEM AS I FOUND IT TOO HEAVY TO USE FOR LONGER THAN A FEW MINUTES. SO FOR MOST SENIOR CITIZENS NOT A GOOD TOOL.

The picker made a significant difference for me. My trees are one a hill and the trees themselves are rather high. Before the basket and pole arrived, picking required some serious Houdini skills! Lots of scraped armed and bruised knees. Now picking is a breeze! If I could figure out how to lock it in place it would be perfect.

This is a pretty low tech solution for reaching into a tree and pick the fruit. It works fine when you use it. However, the picker came in 2 pieces which needed to be attached. The ring which is supposed to be used to attach the basked to the pole did not work at all. So I had to attach the basked a different way. Subtracting a couple of stars for that...
