Went with the ultra light. Can’t beat the playability on guild DV4, but the bright tone and volume are exceptional on such a light string. Can’t speak to durability yet but great so far. Highly recommend .

Give them a chance. You may never go back to your old strings, I didn’t! I have them on my Gibson hummingbird.

These strings are a wonderful option! Sore fingers are normal for anyone who's learning the acoustic guitar. It occurs to me how many might quit lessons, or stop playing for this reason. Our daughter continues playing, teaching, maintaining her acoustic guitars and uses these strings at no loss of of volume.

Even thought these Extra Light strings do not last as long as the heavier versions, the brightness makes up for it. I use these on my Martin Custom acoustic and they sound great. Beginners will like how they are easier on the fingers while you develop callouses from playing.
