The little amp that could.
This amp is amazing. I've played guitar for 19 years now, so when my daughter said she wanted to play I did not hesitate to check the market for a good amp. After comparing Marshall, Peavey, Line 6, Orange, and a few other entry level amps, I decided on Fender. It has a built in tuner, a line in jack that is the size of most people's aux cables for their ipods, a headphone jack that does not require an adapter to plug in, a USB port, and a great selection of effects as well as accurate amp modeling from some of the finest Fender amps. The only thing it does not have (that I wish it did) is a label with the order of preset effects. There are three different "levels" of each effect as indicated by the color of the adjacent led (Orange, Green, Red). But that's not a big drawback because this amp is fairly easy to figure out. I also own and play through a Fender Super Champ X2 which is all tube. After receiving the Mustang I V2, I tried them both out side by side. I expected the Mustang to fall short of the amazing rich bodied sound that my (all tube) Super Champ puts out. I was very wrong. Although my tube amp was $380 and this solid state Mustang was only $120 the Mustang is a very close competitor. It's the same speaker size, and the sound is rich and clear. Solid state technology has come a long way in the last few decades. Even the distortion sounds clean and warm, none of the harsh "transistor breakup" that I remember back in the mid to late 90's. If my daughter ever decides to sell it, I'll buy it back from her! My bottom line is this; with all the great features this amp packs, the quality of materials and build, and the amazing sound that Fender has achieved for a very low price, this is the amp to buy and own for years. Way to go Fender! You have done very well.

Great sound, affordable, and innovative !
First impression of this amp... Solid and strong construction but relatively lightweight ...Immaculate :)Fender's mustang electric amplifier is the only line that has software interface ... The Fuse software takes a bit time to navigate in order to be proficient. But once you get the hang of it, you will love it like I do :) the voicing of this amplifier works well for both electric and acoustic guitars .. I used it for my Gibson LP studio, Martin GPCPA5, and the Marin backpacker travel guitar (with Cherub WCP-60G acoustic pickup).... I would say for the acoustic, it is as good as the Fishman acoustic loudbox mini. 24 modifiable amp presets are more than one will need ... If you buy this unit, I urge you to learn the Fuse software interface to maximize the potentials of this 40-watts amp... It might take you a while to master all the bell and whistles but it is all worth it. The MP3 1/8" Jack is great for listening to your portable phone / MP3 players (also can play your guitar along to the MP3 tune in order to learn the original song timing).. Headphone is great to practice without distributing others in the next quarter mile radius :)) tuner is accurate and easy to use... Please read the menu before operating the unit to maximize your understanding . Please note the "gain" knob is only to be used if you want the distortion effects (for the heavy rock-and-roll and heavy metals players) . I like the natural and jazzy bass sounds so I use "0" on gain for my customized saved presets (original 24 amp presents all have much gains from what I recall)... Took me a couple months to realize the gain is doing distortions since my other Fishman loudbox mini acoustic amp is using the gain knob for instrument input volume instead of having a separate knob for that. This Fender amp has separate volume and master volume knob which is wonderful ... I would recommend this amp to you if you have both the electric and acoustic/electric guitars ... All you need is this unit ...this amp voicing is good for both...

Fantastic Amp!
Let me preface this review by saying that I play guitar for a hobby. I'm not a professional nor do I gig on the weekends. I like to jam in the comfort of my own home. That's not to say that I suck or have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm just not as picky when it comes to specific sound profiles or speaker response. With that being said, I've owned the same crappy, 15 watt practice amp for the past 10+ years. I've mainly played acoustic guitar during that time (no real need for an amp), but ended up receiving a Les Paul as an amazing gift and that changed things. Now I had this fantastic guitar and needed to find something worthy of amplifying it's sound.I went to Guitar Center and tried out a bunch of similar amps (Vox Valvetronix, Roland Cube, and the Line6 Spider). The models on all of the amps sounded great and the options they allowed me were way more than I was used to having. Overall, I'll say that I really liked the sound from the Vox amp but it was more expensive than the Mustang and I didn't think the difference in sound was worth it. In my opinion, for the price, the Fender was a much better value than the others.Like I said, I'm not as discerning when it comes to sound. Honestly, I was just ecstatic to have something more than a clean tone and a harsh overdrive from my practice amp.So on to the pros and cons...Pros:-The amp models that come preloaded are great and there are a ton of custom options available with the Fender Fuse software-This thing gets LOUD. I hardly ever take it above a 2-3 and that's really pushing it.-The price was the best value I could find for the features.-The size fits nicely in my music room without being some big distraction. My only con was with the accessories. For whatever reason, this model only works with the one-button footswitch. I would have liked the ability to bank more sounds with the 4-button, but honestly, I'm just getting greedy.Overall, this thing is great. If you're coming from a situation that's even slightly similar to mine, you'll love it!

Awesome little amp packed with features
Love this thing!Coming from a Fender Frontman 10G and an old 20W Peavey, this amp is amazing. It's loud and clear, and the range of presets (plus 9000+ amp model patches I grabbed off eBay for $10) the range of sounds and virtual pedals is unreal. You don't have to connect to a PC, but it's worth the very minimal effort (there is also an android app you can connect to via OTG cable). I've seen some complaints about no clean setting, while I do agree a basic clean preset would be a good idea, it is very easy to achieve this and pretty much any desired sound through Fender Fuse.

Recomendado

Outstanding fender product and genuine product by Amazon at affordable cost
One of the best amplifier that is available in Rs.10k range. Sound quality excellent, built quality is excellent and also it comes with 24 presets that makes you rock like anything. Distortion sound is good but could have been better if same was at louder level. Still i am satisfied with the product. One can also practice in silence by inserting headphones or earphones. Totally, the product is excellent and i recommend for all electric guitar beginners to buy this if you want a good start.
