Great gaming accessory geared towards accuracy
I ran across this in my recommended and did a little research and love the concept of this gaming accessory. In fps games it may not be as effective for assault rifles and heavy machine guns when it comes to aiming down sights, but it will help lead into/lining up shots for these weapons. Where it comes in handy is hip firing shotguns and submachineguns. But what really sparked my interest was using it for sniper rifles. I quickscoping (lining up a shot with a sniper rifle and zooming into scope briefly to straighten shot and then firing) and this tremendously helps line up shots to tell you exactly where your scope will be aiming when you zoom in. However it is not as effective on the newest call of duty: advanced warfare. Due to the unique sway of the sniper rfile scope on screen while zoomed in. It does work a lot better for sniping on previous cal of duty titles. Espicially call of duty: ghost because with sniper rifles on ghost the developera to out the hipfure crosshairs making it harder to predict the center of your screen. I give it a 5 star even though I don't find use for it on advanced warfare for sniping. I blame that on game mechanics. So in my opinion it deserves a 5 star. Setup is east although I do not recommend using it on a smaller tv screen or monitor because at a smaller picture scale it does tend to block the field of veiw a bit more. All around this is a great gaming accessory and it should help out any gamer reagaurdless of skill level or experience

Perfect!
WOW! This device is a game changer. Being old I've always had a hard time seeing the reticles in Fortnite. I feel like I'm cheating now. I'm using it on a 31-in curved monitor and it works great.

It mounts the screen easily, so far my suction cups hold tight once ...
I don't typically take the time to review a product, but as I was rather skeptical of this produce myself I thought I would share some of my thoughts and experiences with it. Overall for the stating objective of the product is does seem to work well. It mounts the screen easily, so far my suction cups hold tight once I get them placed, every once in a while the main one will come loose but its not been too bothersome so far. The red dot is clear without being in the way, the wire beneath is a bit more bothersome at first but once you start playing it just kind of blends , and I've found it useful for having a better way to gauge aim height when scoping a sniper lane.Which brings me to what finally persuaded me to make the purchase. I've always been a very strong FPS player, not MLG grade by any means but can hold my own and then some in most games, but I've never been a strong sniper. Especially in the quick scope areas I've always been entirely too slow. Now most youtubers or streamers who are good at this will offer once universal piece of advice which is get your cross hairs as close to your targets head as you can before you scope in, so its a quick adjustment and a headshot in one smooth motion. I've never had a strong sense of the center screen space either so there is where I had the most challenge with trying to get better. Enter the HSD , which gives you a very good indicator of where your center aim point is at even when not scoped in, and ta-da, I've been doing much better with my sniping game in a very short amount of time. Truth be told can you recreate this with a piece of tape if you want, or there are even some static cling decals made for this same purpose that may be a little cheaper as well. But that glowing red dot seems to make a much bigger difference, does matter if you're in a dark map or a light color map, it stands out well in any condition and gives me a much better sense of where my aim is all of the time because of this, so that does give it an a leg up in my opinion. Not sure yet if I'm going to put it on all the time because my gaming TV is also my family TV so I can't just leave it there, and it does take a little bit of time to get it attached. Two reasons for this, one being an observation on the product, not really a criticism . In my living room I actually sit slightly off center and the left of my TV , not by a large amount but it does effect the placement of this product. If I place it perfectly centered with the onscreen reticle, then take my usual position the red dot will actually be slightly to the right of the on screen cross hair when I sit down, so it takes some small adjustments to the left to help line it up better. Small annoyance that can be fixed by being centered up with the screen, I just don't want to drag my chair back and forth all of the time when I play. Second reason being that after playing a few days with it on, I decided to try it without again and now that I've had a clear focal point to teach myself the center aim point of my screen, I'm finding I am more aware of now without having the HSD attached. This leads me to conclude that this can be a super useful aid in training yourself for this habits in a game, but depending on your preference might not have to use it all of the time. I imagine I will use it more whenever I find myself losing that center point focus again, or when I play different games that have the cross hair and hipfire points placed at different heights on the screen. Oh, it does help with hipfiring too, depending on the hipfire mechanic of the game anyway. Also found it very useful in Destiny, my game of choice when using it shotguns. When your in a close quarters brawl it makes it easier to keep on target and know you're on target rather than using the big circle as an indicator. especially if you have multiple targets to switch between. So overall, if there is an area in a game that you struggle with concerning aim and crosshair placement, this product can really help with that if you , as I said it just promotes better awareness of where you're aiming no matter how hectic or out of control things get. Not gonna make you a gaming god or whatnot, that still comes down to decision making and reaction time, but it can definitely help with aim, and that's coming from someone who has been a good shot with everything but sniper rifles for a very long time.

Works as advertised but be WARNED PLEASE READ THIS!
This is a five star idea however be warned unless your TV slash monitor has a HARD class like surface it will not stick to it. This product is not meant for LCD screens or any screen that has a softer surface, they even mention this on there website Q&A at HipShotDot.com. I was able to get it to stick to my BenQ gaming monitor for a short time but it left a small white circle where the cup stuck to it, the circle has since gone away but I would be afraid long term use my cause permanent damage. The idea behind this is to make you aware of where the center of your view is witch is very helpful being as I personally have a bad habit of looking down all the time and when an enemy runs by it can make it hard to snap on them. With a dot in the center to remind you of exactly where your going to be looking, it almost allows you to pre aim in a way. Also the dot provide by the HipShot is a little large witch on a big TV wouldn't be an issue but a smaller TV or monitor it can block your view a little bit of where the target is at a range. The simple, cheap and monitor safe solution to work around this is to buy a plastic screen protector for a smart phone, cut it into a small square and then place it in the center of your screen, then aim your gun and with a red Sharpie mark right at the tip of your gun sight. I tested this extensively, the smart phone screen protectors don't leave a residue of any kind on the monitor and can be removed with CARE when you no longer need it. Just keep in mind when your putting it on or taking it off remember it doesn't take a lot of pressure to crack and LCD screen but it also doesn't take much pressure to apply or remove the screen protector:)Here is brand I used and think works best for this purpose, feel free to copy and paste the link below:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BMVUSJI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hip Shot Dot is an awesome Aim Sight to us on your COD weapons and is very easy to install!!
Hip Shot Dot is an excellent Red LED Aim Sight add-on that has improved my weapons sight aiming and my line of sight. It only takes a few minutes to set up. I use my Hip Shot Dot for playing COD BOPS II. I'm sure it will work fine with any other game it just depends on the game and weapons available. When I set up the Hip Shot Dot on my flat screen tv to play COD Black Ops II, I save a perk because I do not need to use a aim sight perk. So I have a choice to use the extra perk as a extra weapon attachment or lethal, or a wildcard build or use it to add a second Perk from the Perk 1-2-3 Greed build. The the Hip Drop Shot is now my aiming sight dot for my weapon of choice and it is dead on accurate. It's very easy to install. I set it up the Hip Shot Dot within three minutes after my game console boots up. Just plug it in to any USB port and setup the suction cups on you flat screen tv or monitor. Then set up your weapons close up aiming sites and install the Hip Shot Dot over your aiming sight. And Voila!!! Your ready to go!!!

Not gonna lie...I feel like I'm cheating
Let's not kid ourselves....if you're looking at this product, it's because you suck whole hardily at competitive gaming due to a number of reasons. You may not be a gifted gamer. You may actually have a life or family which cuts down on game time. But be honest with yourself and realize that there are a bunch 16 year old jobless teenagers who do nothing else but kick your butt at games like battlefield or halo, And if you're fortunate enough to run into a clan of them, well...you're pretty much screwed. There are other hoohas out there like stick nubs to have more control with your long shot, apps you can run on your tablet to use as a bigger map while you play, and then there's this little gimmick which works as described. I agree it works better on larger TVs but it's not really a 2 person job. You zoom in your sights, you place the red dot on the game sights and boom, you're ready to run and gun like a champ. If you can't do that by yourself, you really don't deserve 2 hands. But that's what this thing is good for. If you're like me, you have a tendency to panic and hit the zoom button on close combat skirmishes. This nifty product helps you get away from the counter strike habit and just aim from the hip. I admit, it's cheap for guns not typically associated with close combat kills but it helps break old habits. As far as battlefield 4, it works well with everything until you're using air support vehicles. I'd recommend putting your HUD settings to full so you can switch back and forth between the red dot and HUD but other than that, definitely improved my game and almost gives me the confidence to talk smack to these gifted unemployed kids.

Will help, but can be too bright depending on what you are playing.
Bought this for gaming on a PC. Regarding the suction cup design, I found that if I wet the cup just slightly before affixing it to the monitor it adheres very well and goes on with only a TEENSY amount of pressure. The quick release that was built into it works perfectly too, releasing cleanly without pulling on the monitor. I could see it being very easy to get carried away though and for someone more heavy handed to accidentally thumb mash a dead spot into their monitor. I recommend just being VERY careful if you're sticking this to a LCD monitor, and don't push harder than your wallet can afford. So far I have been able to use this to great success regardless of the on/off routine. My KD ratio has increased in the games that I bother to keep track of it, and it gives me an edge against better players online, which is nice. My only gripe, it would be very VERY nice to have some sort of inline brightness control, even if it increases the cost a bit. The brightness of the dot stands out well at this level against backdrops like the color palette found in Doom, but I find that with particularly dark games like Escape from Tarkov that the dot is overwhelming when moving through dark areas, and can actually make it more difficult to acquire a target, especially when it's a small shadow against another slightly lighter shadow... I think this product would benefit from an even smaller LED as well. I know they exist, and a smaller LED which can be turned up or down would be perfect for PC gaming on a desktop. Maybe it's time for a new model to compliment this one? Or RGB integration which would allow the user more control over it?TL/DR, Great product, certainly achieves what I wanted it too for the most part, but overall it can become distracting with the large dot and being too bright at times.

Price is too high for a led attached to a usb, but after using for a week with The Division I took it off (well it fell off and i just left it off) and my eyes had become used to where the red dot had been that it became some what natural to know where my scope would be brought up on screen. It did improve my game and that is all that matters about this product correct?
