I have found what works best, for me, is to start it at 1.10. I keep it warm - upwards of 85 or 90 degrees, but not much hotter than that. 24 hours after starting it, I'll give it a light stir. I drop in an aquarium stone and use an air pump to oxygenate it some more. I dip out a couple gallons of the wash and add another good bit of sugar, stir, and pour it back into the wash to "step up" the wash. DO NOT EVER POUR SUGAR DIRECTLY INTO THE WASH. It is saturated with CO2 and you'll cause all that CO2 to release at once. Rather like putting a mentos in a two-liter of pepsi. The result is epic. You do not need a bubbler with this yeast. It will out-compete any bad bacteria. And probably a dead possum if you want to throw that in the wash as well. No nutrients are needed to produce sugar wash with this.

Very good value
I like this product because of the pitching temp. I can keep it between 65 and 75 degrees F. I have also gotten a higher alcohol content. I leave it for 7 days, no airlock. I shake it up every couple of days I also add a tablespoon of bread yeast because the bread yeast can survive in the higher alcohol. I tried brewers yeast, but didn't seem to have same results.

Yeast was dead
I bought the yeast in order to ferment a sugar wash all of the packets when I dumped them into the sugar water there was no reaction whatsoever the yeast was totally dead — I want my order replaced but it seems like there’s no option to replace it and I’ve just lost my money — I have bought it before and it has been ok — but this batch is dead and I should be able to get a refund or replacement but it is not offered as an option
