Incredible hitch lock overall. I knew this was going to a big lock but it was even heftier than I thought. Lock and unlocking was very easy and you can tell this lock was built with quality. I was hesitant to spend $100 on just a lock but wanted as much security as possible for my B&W Tow & Stow hitch.

(Forget this note…The company does sell a larger 3” version, but it wasn’t an option here)I have purchased many different hitch locks and no matter how good they are I always worried they might come apart. I invented one in my mind only with a standard lock but also with the cotter key as a back up . So when I found this it was a sigh of relief to have the second safety clip in case anything went wrong with the lock. Unfortunately although I have a 2 inch hitch it is reduced from a larger hitch and the lock is not long enough for me :(Please make a longer one for heavy duty hitches... Please Please Please

Hopefully this lock will slowdown thieves from stealing my aluminum trailer and Gen Y hitch. I love the durable, thick rubber key cover. It also has a set of keys that makes picking the lock very difficult. Plus I have a level of confidence that it will resist binding and forced removal. I have had the lock for over a year and purchasing my second AMPLock.

I couldn't figure out how to open it for 5 minutes with the key. There's definitely no picking the lock and figuring out how to open it. The construction feels solid with nice heavy weight. A little on high side but if you have a expensive hitch and don't want to remove it all the time. This will give you peace of mind

Sturdy and would definitely take some work to break off. I’m only giving 4 stars bc it’s so big that I have to fuss with my chains when hooking them up on the lock side because of the size. Not a big enough deal for me to remove it though.

Now this is a serious Hitch Lock. Congratulations AMP Lock...nice to see a product of this caliber made in North America...Canada to be exact. Not inexpensive mind you, but worth the price in my mind. This is a forever lock.

Incredibly well constructed. I have an expensive desirable hitch and wanted a quality lock to protect it from theft and to ensure that the hitch would be secured to the truck when towing.No comparison in the build quality with off-shore locks. Nice cover for the key lock. Looks and feels like it will keep the innards clean. This thing is heavy and it has a quality feel.Company is responsive to customer inquiries, mine had shipped but sat for over a week in a courier terminal. Emailed the company and Vanessa had it to me the next day. She obviously had to have called the courier. Can’t ask for better than that. Thanks Vanessa!Suggest you practice a few times locking and unlocking... it works differently than the typical hitch lock. Once you see how it works you are good to go.

Good quality

Purchased 2 of these bad boys for the Gen-Y hitch I just got. Absolutely rock solid and should deter thefts. The lock works fine with the Gen-Y hitch connecting to the truck but requires a couple good strikes with a hammer to attach the hitch ball to the Gen-Y hitch.

If this isn't too rich for your blood, I highly recommend it!

Quality lock. Dont buy the other 29 dollar locks that can be broken with a small pipe. You get what you pay for. Amplock has good customer service aswell
