Works
Works, cheap build quality. You will run into the usually Dreamcast incompatibility with modern HD tvs with this cable. Due to the Dreamcasts older output setting of 240p to the VGA output. It can be tricky without high end gear to properly output to modern TVs.

One Star
No video when plugged into dreamcast. Only sound.

Better than expected
I didn't expect much... just need something until HD Retrovision actually makes their cables for DC. Honestly video and sound quality is better than expected. The cable has some heft to it compared to other generic Cables too...if it's worth anything.

Works, With Some Issues.
This cable does work and produces acceptable RGBS. I'm using it with the SPECIALTY-AV SCART to Component Converter to connect to a Trinitron CRT. The problems in this cable are related to poor quality build and design. The DC connector is not particularly high quality and even slight movement results in some image issues. Just make sure that you seat the connector carefully. Furthermore, the SCART end is not engineered correctly. While most of the design is OK and follows proper spec, the resistor on pin 15 is only 75 Ohm, resulting in an output voltage that would be approximately 6V DC (halved from the DC's 12V DC output) which is twice what should be provided to be within the 3V DC spec for a SCART input. So there is a slim but unlikely chance that this cable could damage a display. In my case, the attached YPbPr converter probably doesn't use pin 16 but it's still worth noting. General build quality of the SCART head is on-par with what I'd expect from a cheap cable from China. Essentially hot glue and some capacitors wired right into the RGB pins. Some were nearly making contact with one another. No nice quality PCB. If you want quality, look elsewhere. This cable is also not shielded.

Know what you’re buying, and how to hook it up properly
People hate on these cables, and for good reason. They are not very good quality. But they WORK. That’s the most important thing. Just got my DC Childhood cable today, and it works perfectly with my Sony PVM. I could have spent $20-$30 more for a better cable, but this works for what I need. Also, I have the Saturn and Genesis cables from Childhood, and I’ve used them for about 3 years with no trouble. Maybe it’s a gamble in buying these cables. They aren’t properly shielded and have a little audio noise. But 3/3 times they’ve worked great for me. It seems some people didn’t do a little research before getting into this hobby. You need to know how to hook these cables up before you buy them.

Cheap and they work.. sorta
They work and are priced right compared to more expensive shielded cables. Downside is it get lots of audio interference also first cable had to be replaced because the plastic connector broke apart inside my Dreamcast. Had to use pliers to remove it from the port.

Not bad, not great
It’s definitely a $10 cable. It works, in that it provides 15khz RGB from a Dreamcast. It’s low quality, but it does the job if you want something better than s-video, but you’re not ready to invest in a better cable. As another reviewer wrote, there is no shielding, and the scart head is full of glue. There are caps on the RGB lines, and I confirmed that the cable is using the CSYNC pin for sync. There is buzzing in the audio with a bright screen. There is some video noise, but not as much as I expected. I’m using a CRT, so it may be more evident on a modern tv. Overall, I’m satisfied until I’m ready to buy a better cable. BIGGEST COMPLAINT: The cable smells awful. It has a strong chemical smell that is quite noticeable, but it has faded over time.
