When the shy Christine Brown asks her stern boss Mr. Jacks about who will get to be assistant manager, a job she desperately wants, she discovers that she is competing against her co-worker Stu. Christine suddenly meets Sylvia Ganush, a gypsie woman who desperately wants a third extension on her morgage, but Christine declines thinking that Mr. Jacks will aprove, but that is not how things turn out... Christine is just about to drive home when Sylvia appears in her car and fights her. They fight furiously for one long scene, a gripping struggle which leads to Sylvia cursing a button on Christine's sleeve, damming her to hell. Christine then asks for the famous phsycic Rham Jas, who desperately tries to help but it is impossible to get rid of the curse when the demon turns out to be the lamia, the most stongest and feared of all. A scary, fantastic, thrilling, brilliant film with one of the best story lines ever! The acting was amazing. I strongly reccomend it to horror fans, particularly ones that like jumpy scenes and films that keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering what is gonna happen next! *****! 10/10! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Film *by N***C on 14 March 2025* Watched this a while ago , it’s a good watch , a little jumpy at times , was recommended ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drag Me To Hell *by E***A on 13 February 2010* Being a huge fan of Sam Raimi and the Evil Dead trilogy I was really looking forward to watching this movie and I wasn't disappointed. I thought the story line was quite clever and original, it makes a change to watch a horror movie which isn't a remake of a 70's/80's classic. The movie had some great comedy moments as you would expect from Sam Raimi and a few frights to keep you on the edge of your seat. I feel many recent horror films have totally gone for the in your face shock/gore factor and lacked any true imagination. It's refreshing to watch a film that doesn't try to fall into that category and isn't completely predictable. I wouldn't say the this was ' The scariest film of the decade ' as it lacked the true atmosphere and suspense of a great horror film, but nevertheless it was very entertaining and worth watching. I agree with other reviews that the actors were rather ' wooden ' but I don't really feel that this affected the actual film in any major way.
