Not bad a kit/gift.
I like that is it decent price. However, I think there is two issues with my kit. First is that there is no mirror. However, i did received two knifes. So I think that made it for lack of mirror. Second, the case outer snap/secure portion broke during open of box. The plastic part does leave a bit to be desired. Other than these two, I think overall it is not a bad kit, decent gift for young one.

Great little kit for the price
Great little kit for the price! I'm a sucker for kits, so was happy with the purchase. The only downside was that the compass wasn't like a true military compass, most notably that it did not have the magnet to lock down the compass (All made of plastic instead). Still, what can you expect for the price? (When I lost my 'military' version in the woods, they charged my $60 to replace it....)

Still a nice kit!
Rec'd today ,packaged well and shipped fast. * Pros - small easy to open hard case. even fit everything back in without a struggle. flashlight is great, knife is small convenient size. tactical pen writes well and feels sturdy enough for self defense or breaking a window. swiss card is very rigid and has lots of functions. wire saw also will get the job done . mirror is very reflective.Compass is really nice ,feels durable, will have to eval for accuracy. *Cons - whistle is virtually useless, as is fire starter couldn't even get a spark.

Love this gear kit
Love this gear kit. There are 10 function parts and they can be used in more than 14 survival ways . I tried the saw cause most of the time it's normal for the people to caring a knife, a mirror, a flashlight, even a compass, but a pocket saw is not a common tool to have. I tried, and it worked perfect. The spark set I haven't tried yet. Maybe try it during our next camping trip.

good buy
I got this kit for the sole purpose of trying out the farro rod which performed as expected. Other things in the kit like the knife and the saw are of the size and quality you would expect from a kit in this price range. Not junk but nothing to be impressed by either. The compass is solid. One thing I do not like is the 'multi-tool' I have no use for this at all and it actual detracts from the kit overall for me personally.

Neat. Super small.
This was cool. But way smaller than I expected. Not sure why I didn't get our my ruler and check the measurements before hand, but I was shocked at the size when I unwrapped it. And because everything is "mini" sized, it's not as cool as I it thought it would be. But if you're looking for a pocket sized survival kit, this is for you.

This is a great product!!!
This is a great product. The compass was cheaply made but everything else is great. The hand saw really was a great addition to this survival kit. Other than the compass this was a great buy for its price. Really you should get this for more of a glove compartment thing but this was a great buy.

Poorly made kit - compass doesn't even work.
When first opening, I could see that this was not a well made product. Then again, I didn't pay a lot for it. The case would be good if it had a pinned hinge. The knife was sharp and functioned. The cheap flashlight turned on to High, Low and Flash. The "tactical" pen is like any generic; it wrote on paper. There is a wire saw, but I have yet to use it as it is a one-time use item. I looks like it would break in the field. The card tool is like any other… you can make use of it, but it's not a real useful tool in the field. The compass was a complete failure. It does point to any direction. The needle just sit wherever it ends up at. There's no magnetic element in it. I even put some iron near it and there was no reaction. The Compass is useless. The fire steel was respectable and worked great. The whistle as loud and effective. The small signal mirror is plastic, but is good. Leave the protective film in place until needed.Learn from my misfortune and buy a better kit. You need a kit that has no broken items in it. You pay for things that do what they say. This kit is not one of those things. This kit will no save you.
