I bought this collagen in the desperate hope that it would help with the joint pain I've been experiencing since suffering a lot of medically-related weight gain.It was a long shot as there wasn't good clinical data supporting use of collagen supplements for joint pain, but I made sure to get THIS collagen because it has collagen Type II, which is the kind that goes into your joints, instead of just Types I and III like most popular collagent supplements have since those have more cosmetic effects.And holy crap y'all. After using it daily for just a couple of weeks my knee pain is practically gone.It DOES taste like fish, which is probably why it has a lower customer review rating than the more popular collagen brands that don't have Type II collagen. But I don't care because I'm here to improve my joint pain, not just my hair and nails, and a slightly fishy-tasting coffee is a small price to pay for doing that. I just make sure to put sugar in my coffee or tea with it and the faint flavor doesn't bother me.

I mix mine with a small amount of room temp water, make a paste and then pour my coffee in the cup. I don't taste it at all with the coffee and the creamer and it does not clump that way. I do notice a difference when I use it. I also notice a difference when I stop. I've been using it at least a year now and skipped like 2 months. I don't think I'll be doing that again.

Of course the container comes and it’s half full people are complaining about the taste. I have no problems with it as long as I put it in my coffee with my coffee creamer. The taste is fine. I just used it today for the first time so I’ll be writing another review down the line see if it does anything for my joint pain.

I have recurrent tendonitis (tendinopathy) in my Achilles and hamstrings. Collagen might help and I'm willing to try anything since even with pt exercises I feel like I'm always on the brink of a flare up. I bought this product because it has 3 types of collagen and the one that's missing from other powders is the one that's supposed to help tendons. So far so good. Have not had any debilitating episodes in a month and hope benefits will increase over time.My nails are definitely stronger. Hope that's powder related. Hair is the same but I don't have any problems there so not sure I'd notice. Can't fly yet but I think that's a different supplement ;DThe smell is horrible. You'd think this stuff was made from animal carcasses! Putting it in Pero with soy milk worked okay to mask unpleasantness. The BEST mixer is miso! Boil water. When it comes off the boil, start stirring into miso. Then add powder, keep adding hot water, and stir continuously. DO NOT ADD TO COLD DRINKS. The powder will turn back into the bone it is if you do.I used a scoop for the first batch but plan to start weighing. The powder is so fine that it settles a LOT and I think dry measure indicated on label is off. I wish NOW could figure this out so they could use smaller containers.

I like Now brands for many of my supplements and was not disappointed with the collagen product. Great quality and the price is very competitive

Just received this and had it for the first time today. Mixed it with a cup of homemade, slightly sweetened cashew milk. Now, I'll try about anything and eat all sorts of food, but slightly sweetened cashew milk that tastes strongly of old fish was almost more than I could choke down.Have no idea what I'll do with the rest of this. I hate waste so will try to figure out something that disguises the taste, but wow-ee. If you don't like the flavor of old fish (I love fresh fish, eat it all the time), be prepared to mix this with something that has a very strong flavor to cover the fishiness.Update: Okay, this is really funny. Yesterday, I stood in the kitchen looking at this giant jar of stuff (although as many others said, it's half empty--what a waste of plastic, ugh) and wondering what on Earth I was going to do with it. There was no way I was going to drink fishy coffee or try it in anything sweet again. I came here and read the reviews again and marveled that so many reviewers said that it "had no taste" or that it tasted only faintly of broth. How is that possible??But I decided to give it one more try and this time to embrace the flavor. I stirred it into half a cup of plain hot water, an--exploding brain emoji--it had hardly any taste at all!! Just as others had reported, it tasted like very weak broth. Today, I embraced that even further, and put half a teaspoon of Better than Bouillon in it so it was liking drinking hot beef broth. Ta-dah! It's totally drinkable like that. Still not sure that I'll buy this particular one again, but at least I'll be able to finish this container.Will update again in a few weeks/months if it has any benefits.

Yuck! I was super excited to try this brand due to reviews. This product does not dissolve well in coffee, makes an elasticity substance that is sticky and gross. It ruins the taste of coffee. Going back to my other brand.

I have seen several reviews that say it smells or tastes fishy and terrible. But I don't notice anything. I put it in my coffee in the morning, and it dissolves quickly and completely, with no taste or odor! No stomach upset, either. I just started taking it, so no comment on it's effectiveness yet, but l am definitely glad it isn't the funkiness I was expecting! I know I will be able to continue with it. At 66 years old, my skin and joints need all the help they can get!
