Surprisingly good
I bought the regular Paisley Drive and hated it. As a matter of fact, I had found all Wampler pedals to sound fizzy (at least for distortion) or otherwise uninspiring. I bought this one in a whim because it was on sale and cheap. It's a bit dark for my tastes, but it's useable with almost all of my different guitars and amps.

OMG!
Sooooo filthy for wicked harmonics on any note., I live in a tone comprised of a little bit of King Ed, the Reverend Billy, some Faulkner, Annihilator, Dimartini, Impelliteri... this Wampler is all about it. The tone sweeps are subtle but nail what you want as you feel them out. The mid sweep is the meat and potatoes easily dialed in. Never played a pedal that nailed the sag of a nasty cranked tube amp like this one in 45 years, now I can lay it down full of saggy heaviness at low volumes in the house when my wife is sleeping and i sneak out to wail away in the LR.Been ripping this into an opto compression for least 14 hours of smokin riffs since it arrived Tuesday.I haven't even put it thru the Boogie or JCM yet as all this love is thru an old Deluxe lol which is incredible to hear sounding so metal and not bluesy. The vintage-modern switch brings you from seventies to the 90's in a flash. To clean it up a bit from Ed sag to Dimebag rag push in the anti-sag button and Wampler magic does its thing and just when you have that tone dialed in perfect to the ears, dare not hit the boost switch cause confetti will reign down and your head will melt into a swirl of colors in the fun palace like a boy discovering that girls are hot and not snot. IT takes it to a next level.Thats all i have to review kids, for the record i checked out at least 30 distortion pedals the past couple months and for me this stands above, your sonic quest may be different but if your in the zone i described then you need to play thru one fo sure. Live. Peace out.

Nice Enhanced Effects Pedal
I use this pedal with my Fender Blues Jr IV, firstly to act as an attenuator, since the BJ IV is so loud, and secondly, I set the Gain to only about 20%, which creates the sound of the BJ IV driven at the edge of breakup, only at a much lower volume, perfect for home use.

Wampler Pinnacle Phenomenal
The media could not be loaded. The best overdrive pedal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I have ever played & if anyone @ Wampler see's this video hit me up for in endorsement , thanks & the mask was also purchased here on Amazon & it messed with the signal in a cool way , I had zero vision😵 of my fretboard I went off of feel ... I would recommend this pedal to anyone who plays guitar .. great thick tone & sustain is super smooth & it's very flexible from spaced out instrumental playing , Killer for Rock & Blues, this pedal is by far the best I've ever played , thanks , Wampler , Carlos .

It's a Klone, and it's loud!
This pedal is everything it's advertised to be, including the thing they don't say. This is a great sounding Klone. I've never played an original so I can't attest to how "accurate" the Tumnus is, but I really don't care.I run it Josh Scott-style as a heavier drive stacked behind a lighter drive. It delivers all the tone characteristics that stand out to me in his videos using a KTR after a Morning Glory in this way, which is plenty close fas far as I'm concerned. There's a sweetness in the mids that stands out compared to other circuits and I really like it. I assume that's what everyone's paying $5k for with the 'real' ones.I'm surprised how much volume this pedal can produce. Running it with the gain around 75-80% I have to keep the volume in the 10-15% neighborhood. When you bring the gain down you progressively have to bump it up to more 'normal' settings, so maybe the intent was to give sufficient volume for those that want to run it as a clean boost? This isn't an issue at all (who cares where the knob is if it's doing what you want?), but definitely a notable characteristic of the pedal.I was torn between this one and the Rockett offering (who built some of the silver centaurs for Klon). I ultimately went for this one because of the form factor and I'm glad I did. It's tiny. It is really well constructed as well. I'm sure the Rockett is great, but if you want to save some space the Tumnus does the thing. The LED is blue. Since the pedal is gold I kinda expected amber or something, but that's the worst thing I can say about it.Oh, I don't think this has the magic diodes though, or the goop, so it's clearly terrible despite all the praise I just gave it.
