Works great for me
I've always wanted to buy a mixer to make bread and cake, and always check it out when I go to Costco every time, but the mixer at Costco it need cost about 300 for one, and then my friend bought one for about 100 from amazon, and She said it works nicely too,so I got it too.this mixer is a great mixer for the price, and so far I am not disappointed. The shape of the beaters versus the shape and volume of the bowl work together in unison to allow for a great mix of whatever it is you are .

Gets the job done.
I’m new at bread baking and homemade pasta but with my arthritis, I needed something to take some of the stress off of my hands. This machine definitely doesn’t have the feel of a Kitchen Aide but it is perfectly able to mix my bread dough for 6-7 minutes with the dough successfully coming together without any overheating. I do have to scrape down the sides periodically but making enriched dough products and kneading basic bread flour are accomplished with this machine so I have been satisfied with the cost and results based on that price point. The light flashes until you unplug but that’s not that big of deal because I always move the machine off my couch top when I’m done. I will admit , the bowl and attachments feel pretty flimsy but they are getting the job done for the price. I have been using this at least twice a week for bread dough.

Definitely Chinese, but well worth the price. Hefty and quite sturdy. Does everything the $450.00 brand will do with ease. The noise omitted is very tolerable (not to loud) The unit sounds very powerful which it is. No issues handling bread dough, my recipe calls for 6 cups of flour. The mixing bowl will accommodate 2 boxes of cake mix with no issues. So unless you're mixing concrete there should be no power struggles for the unit. The eye candy says it all. It's Stunning to look at, and will add a little class to any kitchen. I'm impressed and really like the unit. A Good Investment, would recommend to all.

BEWARE: You CANNOT order replacement parts
While this mixer is a great alternative to the larger stand mixers, it does not last and replacement parts are not available, I had this mixer for 2 years and mistakenly washed my beater in the dishwasher and all the silver finish came off (see pic) and a grey dust gets all over my hands now, rendering it useless for making food (even though they say the parts are dishwasher safe). The plastic base that holds the bowl also cracked, but can still be used. Save your money and buy from a reliable dealer that will replace broken parts.

Died after 6 months
Purchased this mixer at the end of July 2017. It had no reviews at the time, but it seems like a decent unit from the description, and the price was OK, so I took a chance on it. It had some dings in the bowl when I received it, but seems to function alright otherwise. I have used it once or twice a week since then. Right from the start, it would shut off after a few minutes, but would restart if it was turned off and back on again and then function OK. I thought that might have been a safety feature, etc. But finally it just died, and no amount of coaxing would bring it back to life. It is now a worthless piece of garbage. I see that since I purchased it there are quite a few 1 star reviews that seem to indicate similar problems. A unit to definitely stay away from. A mixer should last more than six months of occasional use. This unit is junk.

Satisfactory for the Money-But Not for the Serious or Pro Cook
For the money, this is not a bad mixer (I got it on a "flash sale" at Amazon for under $80). If you are a frequent stand mixer user and are looking for a heavy-duty performer, this is probably not the best choice for you. However, for the occasional user, it is perfectly fine. It is nice looking (note that the housing is plastic), doesn't take up a huge footprint on the counter, and remains secure due to strong suction cups on the bottom of the base. I found it perfectly adequate for mixing batters, whipping cream, etc. though you will find that the blades do not come as close to the side of the bowl as many others (and there is no scraper blade on the side of the paddle), so you will need to stop once or twice to use a rubber spatula to be sure all ingredients are mixed in. Not a huge inconvenience but, again, the frequent user would likely find this annoying, I don't make bread, so I have not used the dough hook and am unlikely to do so, but I suspect very heavy doughs could be a bit of a challenge, though I can't attest to that first-hand!One of the accessories is a "dust cover" - a black disc that fits atop of the paddle or whisk, presumably to keep flour, powdered sugar, etc. from flying up. I found it extraneous, not particularly securely fitting (tends to come loose when running at higher speeds) and unnecessary, particularly with the plastic bowl shield available. I don't use it, but if you do, be sure to note that the concave side should be facing up...there are no clear directions to that effect in the manual. The manual itself is not well written, obviously by someone who is not proficient in English. There is a great deal of awkward construction along with many grammatical errors but, for the most part, using this machine is pretty self-explanatory and intuitive. My only significant negative is that the first time I washed the paddle attachment in the dishwasher (according to the manual, attachments are dishwasher safe), it came out covered in a fine black-gray powdery dust, as if there had been some adverse reaction with something. I use standard dishwasher gel packs, so I can't believe that it should have had this kind of adverse effect. It did scrub off easily (just to be sure, I covered it in Soft Scrub and went over all surfaces) and it seems to be fine, though the original shiny luster is now a dull gray-pewter finish. I contacted the seller who countered that there is no place in the manual that states that these parts are dishwasher safe. Clearly that is not the case--Page 6, Item #6 in the "Cleaning Section" states otherwise! All in all, once again, for the occasional user, this machine will be fine. The more serious cook will likely be happier with a heavier duty machine.
