Beautiful, well-made Journal - Great for Journaling and Art
This is my first time using a BUKE dot grid notebook for bullet journaling. I messed up my 2023 journal at the very last of December so at the last minute decided to order a new one. All the ones I looked at originally were already sold out, then I came across this brand. I am so glad the others were all sold out, otherwise I might not have found the best journal I have ever used! The package arrived quickly and was packaged very beautifully. I will definitely say this would make a GREAT gift for someone, as it was packaged very nicely and fun to unwrap. The journal came with a nice quality bookmark, a package of stickers to use, and the most handy thing ever - a mini, heavy duty, frosted white plastic grid-style ruler that I have already used so much already. It is just the perfect size for each page to help draw your layouts/lines. I already consider it one of the most useful tools I now have. The journal itself does not have page numbers (which I like as I like to do them myself). Next comes a page to write your name, then starts with the dotted pages. It has a hard cover and lays completely flat no matter which page you are using...this is a very important quality for when your are doing your layouts in the center. Normally I use only 160gsm paper but this was, I believe, 170 gsm and WELL WORTH getting. The pages are very thick. So far, I have used TomBow water-based pens, Zebra Midliners, colored pencils, sharpie metallic markers, regular lead pencils, Koi Coloring Brush Pens, and all different sizes of my Micron archival ink pens (even the 10 and 12!) without so much as a speck of bleed-through so far! I did try to lightly watercolor one page but I am not very talented with watercolors as you will see in the pictures, so the page warped slightly. I might have used a little too much water, but not sure. So for watercolors...I can't recommend using those. unless you don't mind slight curving on the backside of the page. Even with that...the watercolor paints did not bleed through. One other thing I did was to create pockets out of medium heavy cardstock. Even with glue and cardstock, the page held up perfectly fine and turned out great.I definitely recommend this Journal for any project you have; it is so well-made that if you really love to be creative and artistic...this is the one for you!! You will absolutely love creating art in it. Also, the dots are a bit faint (I need to use a small lamp nearby as I work) but they match up well and are not TOO dark which is also a popular feature. Overall, the paper is very thick, the book itself seems to be very well put together, and you shouldn't have bleed through to the next page when using any of the tools I mentioned earlier in this post. The only negative thing I guess I could say about it, is that the stretchy band used to close your Journal with is yellow. Would be nice if it matched the journal itself, but I love it so much I don't even really care that it is yellow. I am already going to buy another one very soon for next year's journal. If I could afford it, I would buy 5-6 more right now so that I could have them already in my desk waiting for other projects! I am extremely happy with this journal so far, it really allows me to have a lot of creativity with it's thick pages and what seems to be high durability. I plan to use BUKE journals from now on and no other kind. I am confident that whoever else buys one will love it too. You won't be disappointed with this item.

LOVE the paper, hate the texture of the cover
This journal is so pretty. The paper is super thick and I love the metallic edge. It lays open nicely and the size is just right. No bleed through yet but I haven't used alcohol ink in this yet. The paper is really smooth and lovely. The only thing I didn't like is the texture of the cover. It's matte with a velvety feel. Velvet makes me itch so I did not like that. Not a deal breaker for me. I just covered it with a sheet of self-laminating plastic. Does it ruin the look? Maybe. But I love the paper and how cute it is so I'm ok with that.

Great for artists, crafting, & bujo
I bought this notebook to be a book journal. It looks just as expected and is a great value for the money. There was no bleed through when coloring on the pages. They are very thick and stiff. I had roughed up one side with my marker and it did not show through. I imagine you could use watercolors too. It was a challenge cutting the page with one tool, which is not a bad thing. You would need scissors or an x-acto knife. I imagine this will check chunky if you use a lot of stickers, washy, etc. I am a little nervous the cover will pull away from the binding but time will tell. The book will lay flat but you need to flatten the pages along the binding first.

GORGEOUS, STURDY AND PERFECT PRICE
Absolutely gorgeous journal. Second one of theirs I've bought. Sturdy pages which are great for me as I use these for drawing. The dots are just visible enough to use as guidelines but not too dark to ruin pics or writing. The book lays flat no matter where you are in it.The Sakura brand pens I use do not bleed through, nor have any markers I've tried. 3 ribbon bookmarks, big pocket at back and a lovely cover imprint. Only wish pages were numbered but that is no big deal. I wholeheartedly recommend these journals and will keep buying this brand.

Great book at a great price!
I love this dot journal! The paper is nice and thick and even stands up to several coats of watercolors. I love how it lays flat and is easy to write on. My only complaint is that I wish the dots were a bit darker. I have to have a super strong light behind me to consistently see the dots. Will definitely buy again!
