Sturdy, Cost-effective and hygienic
In my town, though the tap water is safe to drink, it is hard and has high mineral content that gives it a taste that some might find strange. The Brita products are a great help in removing the funny taste. I have used some regular Brita filter pitchers in the past, but many times it was difficult to tell when to change the filter. I often was the only user and I was not sure if a time based approach ( 2 month) worked because I was also traveling much and felt like I might not be using 40 gallons in two months. Also, in the old pitchers, I could not remove the top part (that holds the filter) to clean; after a few years, I would see deposits at the base of the container and it was difficult to clean. This pitcher addresses both these issues (replacement tracking, cleaning). I got this pitcher around 14 months ago and the indicator light still works great. As I had suspected earlier, I got the filter change indication for the first filter after more than 5 months, that suggests that I was underusing the filter in my old pitcher. Also, the top part can be removed completely and all parts can be cleaned to one's heart's content and I find that very helpful. Overall, a great, effective, and easy to use product, and a great value for money in the long run. It is large yet easily portable, more efficient due to the indicator light, and easy to maintain and clean; the material is strong and I do not see any cracking/chipping/scratching on the body. The two filters that came with it also added to the value.

Excellent Product and Water Tastes Great
It is easy to use, just fill. There is a greenlight that is supposed to show when the filter needs to be changed. That is different from the older models I've had. Water tastes great! And fits in top shelf of fridge. It certainly is saving me money over bottled water; we have very hard water where we live and I was buying bottles. I guess I'm saving 300 plastic bottles a year.

Absolutely worth buying "brand name" with this one
A little over ten years ago, I bought my first Brita pitcher. The house where I was staying at the time had very hard, mineral-heavy well water, so I instantly noticed the improvement in flavor vs. straight from the tap. Between then and now, I've continued to use Brita filters as my go-to for filtering but eventually had to part ways with my original Brita pitcher. My wife and I found one from a big-box brand that was 75% of the cost of the Brita and were looking for ways to save, so we decided to give it a try. I didn't realize until after that big-box pitcher met an untimely demise on our electric stove and we decided to take the risk going back with a Brita how far we had sold ourselves short - and yes, I realize we're talking about a water-filtering pitcher here. That "other" pitcher would constantly glug-glug when pouring instead of pouring smoothly, and the water was constantly leaking down into and out the bottom of the handle onto the sink or wherever the pitcher had been set. This new Brita feels like a breath of fresh air compared to that one, like someone actually took the time to design a pitcher properly to, well, pour as it should. The stream of water pours quickly and smoothly, with no "glugging," and there is zero leakage of unfiltered water from the upper reservoir. It might sound dumb, but even the mechanism for opening the top of the pitcher feels intentional and higher-grade. I also like how the pitcher is designed to catch the light going through the water and make it look "nice." These might sound like small touches, but considering we use and refill this pitcher at least a half dozen times a day, I'll just say they have already made the extra couple dollars we paid for this one well worth it. That said, if you're in the market for a water-filtering pitcher and would normally be one to scrimp and pinch to save a few dollars, I won't tell you what to do, but I'd encourage you to consider spending any extra for this pitcher vs. one of the "other" pitchers out there. Given our experience in the last couple weeks vs. the several years we muscled through using a big-box/generic pitcher (without realizing what we were unnecessarily muscling through), the small difference in price is well worth it. Well done, Brita. You did a good job with this one.

We Use This for EVERYTHING — You Can Taste the Difference
My family of four uses this pitcher for everything — and I truly mean everything. Drinking water, cooking, filling ice trays, coffee maker reservoirs, pet water fountains, even reptile misting bottles. If it involves water, it goes through this filter first. And the difference is immediately noticeable. If we use straight tap water instead, we can tell right away. After filtering, the water has: -No taste -No smell -No residue -No cloudiness It’s just clean, neutral water — exactly what you want, especially when using it across so many daily tasks. Even with heavy, constant use in a household of four, one filter lasts us about 4–6 weeks, which is impressive considering how often we refill it. Changing the filter is quick and simple. Remove the lid, pop the old filter out, rinse the new one under cold water for about 15 seconds, click it into place, then fill the pitcher and discard the first batch. After that, it’s ready to use. This has become one of those everyday essentials we don’t even think about anymore — because we rely on it constantly. If you’re on the fence about getting one, the improvement in water quality alone makes it worth it.

Not bad....
This pitcher isn't bad, but for the price and with it being a genuine Brita, I guess I expected a bit more. The plastic seems a bit flimsy; hopefully it'll hold up o.k. Also, the controls for the filter 'smart lite' were hidden and I didn't even see them till I turned the top part upside down. And since there's no instruction pamphlet provided, I had no idea how to even use it. Upon closer inspection (with a magnifying glass!) I saw there were sparse instructions printed on the lid by the buttons, although they didn't explain much; there are 2 buttons, and I'm unsure what the other one is for. Anyway, apparently you press the one button for 5 seconds till the light flashes green, and then you're good to go. Otherwise, it's a decent, large capacity pitcher, albiet a bit heavy due to the large size. One thing I don't like though is that there is no flap or covering over the pour spout--it's just open to anything that might fall into it. Even my last cheap generic pitcher had a flap-closure over the spout, but I guess Brita wanted to save money on this 'basic' model. The filtration seems decent & fairly fast, and it's easy to fill; no leakage yet.

Cleaner water, no guesswork
This Brita pitcher has been a real upgrade in my kitchen. It holds up to 10 cups—plenty for the whole family—and the built-in spout is super convenient: no need to lift it every time you pour. The standard filter removes chlorine taste and reduces impurities like copper, mercury, and cadmium. What I love most is the SmartLight indicator—it uses LED lights to tell you exactly when it’s time to change the filter, so there’s no guessing. The design is sleek, fits in most fridges, and is BPA-free. Since I started using it, my water tastes better and I’ve cut down on plastic bottles. A smart and sustainable investment.

💧 My Daily Ritual: Transforming Tap Water into Pure Refreshment 💧
Every morning used to begin with a sigh and a clink of ice in tap water—fine, but never inspiring. Then the Brita Large Water Filter Pitcher entered my life, and suddenly, pouring water felt like a mini-ceremony of refreshment. Sliding that sleek black lid open, I fill it up and watch as it silently gets to work removing all those subtle off-flavors and chlorine. The SmartLight indicator is like a friendly nudge—no guesswork, just clarity when it’s time for a filter swap. It’s the kind of thoughtful design that makes a difference in your day without you even thinking about it. The pitcher fits perfectly in my fridge door, sits sturdy on the counter, and feels solid in hand when I lift it to pour. That 10-cup capacity means fewer refills and more uninterrupted hydration—morning coffee, midday slump, evening unwind, it’s always ready. And the taste? Crisp, clean, and slightly exciting—who knew water could feel like a small luxury? I’ve never looked back. No more bottled water clutter. Just a reliable, refreshing flow that makes me take a second sip and smile. This pitcher didn’t just upgrade my hydration—it gave me a moment of delight, every single time I reach for a glass. 💦✨

Love it
I love this pitcher. It looks nice, I like the color. The light the blinks when you pour the water is helpful to see when you need to replace the filter. It's nice and big so I am not refilling the pitcher so often.

Bought it again for the great taste!
This is my second time purchasing this Brita pitcher. My first one stopped working after about a year, but I love the water quality and taste so much that I decided to get the exact same model again. It makes tap water taste amazing, and the smart light indicator is very helpful.
